Pursuant to Decree No. 120/2003/NĐ-CP dated October 20, 2003 of the Government amending Article 9 of Decree No. 30/2002/NĐ-CP dated March 26, 2002 of the Government stipulating and guiding the implementation of certain provisions of the Ordinance on Elderly People.

1. The Ministry hereby amends Section II. Medical Examination and Treatment Benefits of Circular No. 16/2002/TT-BLDTBXH dated December 9, 2002 of the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs as follows:

"II. Medical Examination and Treatment Benefits

Elderly persons aged 90 years or older are entitled to receive a free health insurance card with a value of VND 50,000 per person per year, or they may be provided medical examination and treatment services free of charge under the actual payment mechanism at healthcare facilities as specified in Article 1 of Decision No. 139/2002/QĐ-TTg dated October 15, 2002 of the Prime Minister on medical examination and treatment for poor people.

2. This Circular takes effect fifteen days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette. Any difficulties encountered during implementation should be promptly reported to the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs for study, consideration, and resolution./.
