Pursuant to the Quality of Goods Ordinance No. 18/1999/PL-UBTVQH10 dated December 24, 1999;

Pursuant to the Government Decree No. 34/2003/NĐ-CP dated April 4, 2003 on the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Transport;

At the proposal of the Director of the Science and Technology Department and the Director General of the Vietnam Vehicle Inspection Agency.

Article 1. Issued together with this Decision is the Industry Standard:

"ROAD MOTOR VEHICLES - PASSENGER CARS - GENERAL SAFETY REQUIREMENTS"

Registration number: 22 TCN 307-06

Article 2. This Decision shall take effect fifteen days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette.

Article 3. Motor vehicle models that have been granted quality certificates prior to the effective date of this Decision are permitted to continue production and assembly for a period of twelve months.

Article 4. The Heads of the Ministry's Office, the Director of the Science and Technology Department, the Director General of the Vietnam Vehicle Inspection Agency, the Director General of the Vietnam Highway Administration, the Directors of the Departments of Transport/Transport Public Works, and the Heads of related units are responsible for implementing this Decision./.
