Pursuant to Decree No. 81/2002/NĐ-CP dated October 17, 2002 of the Government detailing the implementation of certain provisions of the Law on Science and Technology;

Pursuant to Decree No. 54/2003/NĐ-CP dated May 19, 2003 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Science and Technology, and Decree No. 28/2004/NĐ-CP dated January 16, 2004 of the Government amending and supplementing certain articles of Decree No. 54/2003/NĐ-CP;

Pursuant to Decision No. 67/2006/QĐ-TTg dated March 21, 2006 of the Prime Minister approving the orientation, objectives, and main scientific and technological tasks for the 2006-2010 period;

Pursuant to Decision No. 18/2006/QĐ-BKHCN dated September 15, 2006 of the Minister of Science and Technology issuing the "Regulations on Organizing and Managing Activities of National Key Science and Technology Programs for the 2006-2010 Period" and Decision No. 23/2006/QĐ-BKHCN dated November 23, 2006 amending and supplementing certain articles of the "Regulations on Organizing and Managing Activities of National Key Science and Technology Programs for the 2006-2010 Period";

Considering the proposals of the Heads of the Department of Science and Technology for Economic and Technical Sectors, the Department of Social Sciences and Natural Sciences, and the Department of Planning and Finance.

DECISION:

Article 1. The accompanying this Decision is the "Regulations on Determining Scientific and Technological Tasks under National Key Science and Technology Programs for the 2006-2010 Period".

Article 2. This Decision shall take effect fifteen days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette and shall replace Decision No. 07/2003/QĐ-BKHCN dated April 3, 2003 of the Minister of Science and Technology on issuing the "Regulations on Determining Scientific and Technological Projects and National Pilot Production Projects" and Decision No. 08/2003/QĐ-BKHCN dated April 3, 2003 of the Minister of Science and Technology on issuing the "Regulations on the Working Method of the Advisory Science and Technology Council for Determining Scientific and Technological Projects and National Pilot Production Projects".

Article 3. The Heads of the Department of Science and Technology for Economic and Technical Sectors, the Department of Social Sciences and Natural Sciences, the Department of Planning and Finance, the Director of the Office, the Heads of units under the Ministry, the Directors of national key science and technology programs for the 2006-2010 period, and the Heads of related agencies and organizations are responsible for implementing this Decision./.
