CIRCULAR
Issuing and implementing the "National Technical Regulation on Radiation Safety - Subgrouping and Classification of Radioactive Sources"
and classify radioactive sources"

Pursuant to the Atomic Energy Law dated June 3, 2008;
Pursuant to the Law on Standards and Technical Regulations dated June 29, 2006, and Decree No. 127/2007/NĐ-CP dated August 1, 2007 of the Government detailing certain provisions of the Law on Standards and Technical Regulations;
Pursuant to Decree No. 28/2008/NĐ-CP dated March 14, 2008, promulgated by the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Science and Technology;
Considering the proposal of the Director of the Radiation and Nuclear Safety Agency,
The Minister of Science and Technology hereby promulgates:
Article 1. Attached hereto is the "National Technical Regulation on Radiation Safety - Subgrouping and Classification of Radioactive Sources".
Article 2. This Circular shall take effect 45 days from the date of issuance and revoke Decision No. 17/2007/QĐ-BKHCN dated August 31, 2007 of the Minister of Science and Technology on the issuance of regulations for subgrouping radioactive sources according to security requirements.
Article 3. THE DIRECTOR OF THE RADIATION AND NUCLEAR SAFETY AGENCY, HEADS OF ORGANIZATIONS AND INDIVIDUALS CONCERNED ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ENFORCING THIS CIRCULAR.
In the course of implementation, if there are any difficulties, agencies, organizations, and individuals shall promptly report to the Ministry of Science and Technology for study and amendment./.
