Chapter 2. TECHNICAL PROVISIONS

2.2.1. General Requirements

2.2.2. Unwanted Emissions within the Operating Band

2.2.3. Adjacent Channel Leakage Ratio (ACLR)

Nhà sản xuất thiết bị phải công bố:

- Các băng tần hoạt động của trạm gốc;

- Các băng tần hoạt động của trạm gốc hỗ trợ cộng gộp sóng;

For base stations supporting multiple frequency bands, the measurements prescribed in Article 3 must be conducted for each individual frequency band.

For base stations configured to receive multiple carrier waves, all throughput requirements must apply to each received carrier wave. As for the ACS characteristics, blocking, and modulation penetration, the signal-to-noise ratios must be measured relative to the upper edge of the RF bandwidth of the base station.

For base stations capable of operating across multiple frequency bands, the requirements set forth in this standard apply to each operational frequency band unless otherwise specified. In certain cases, specific additional or removed requirements may be stipulated for such base stations.

For base stations capable of operating across multiple frequency bands that are a combination of different multi-band or single-band devices mapped to one or more antenna ports in various ways, if the frequency bands are transmitted on separate antennas then:

- Single-band ACLR measurement, unwanted emissions within the operational frequency band, spurious transmitter emissions, transmitter modulation penetration, and spurious receiver emissions shall be applied to each antenna port connection;

- If the base station configuration operates in a single frequency band, the single-band requirements apply to the antenna port configured for single-band operation and apply to both single-band and multi-band capable base stations. The single-band requirements are independently tested at the antenna port configured for single-band operation while all other antenna ports remain terminated.

For multi-band capable base stations supporting frequency bands for Time Division Duplexing (TDD), the RF requirements in this standard assume synchronous operation, where the uplink and downlink do not occur simultaneously across supported operational frequency bands.

Technical requirements applicable to base station configurations are specified in Appendix A.

The E-UTRA base station operates in aggregated carrier frequency bands as defined in Tables 3 through Table 6.

2.2.4. Spurious Transmitter Emissions

2.2.2.1. Definition

Unwanted emissions include out-of-band emissions and spurious emissions. Out-of-band emissions are unwanted emissions (excluding spurious emissions) occurring immediately outside the channel bandwidth during modulation and due to non-linear effects in the transmitter. The limits of out-of-band emissions from the base station transmitter are determined based on unwanted emissions within the operational frequency band and adjacent channel leakage ratio (ACLR).

Limits for unwanted spurious emissions within the operational frequency band are defined from 10 MHz below the lowest frequency of each supported downlink operational frequency band to 10 MHz above the highest frequency of each supported downlink operational frequency band (see Table 1).

These requirements apply to all types of transmitters (single-carrier or multi-carrier) and all selected transmission modes consistent with the manufacturer's technical specifications. Additionally, for base stations operating across multiple frequency bands, these requirements apply within the guard band RF bandwidth.

For base stations supporting multiple carriers, the unwanted emission requirements apply to channel bandwidths greater than or equal to 5 MHz.

For multi-carrier E-UTRA base stations configured for adjacent and non-adjacent intra-band carrier aggregation, the definitions above apply to the lower edge of the transmitting carrier at the lowest carrier frequency and the upper edge of the transmitting carrier at the highest carrier frequency within the defined operational frequency band.

For multi-band capable base stations where multiple frequency bands are mapped to separate antenna ports, single-band requirements apply and cumulative limit estimation within the guard band RF bandwidth is not applied.

2.2.2.2. Limits

For wide-area base stations, this requirement applies outside the RF bandwidth of the base station. Additionally, this requirement also applies within the guard band of any component block for wide-area base stations operating in non-contiguous spectrum and within the guard band RF bandwidth of any contiguous frequency band for wide-area base stations operating across multiple frequency bands.

For base stations with medium coverage areas, this requirement applies outside the RF bandwidth of the base station. Additionally, this requirement applies within the guard band of any component block for base stations with medium coverage areas operating in non-contiguous spectrum and within the guard band RF bandwidth of any contiguous frequency band for base stations with medium coverage areas operating across multiple frequency bands.

For local base stations, this requirement applies outside the RF bandwidth of the base station. Additionally, this requirement applies within the guard band of any component block for local base stations operating in non-contiguous spectrum and within the guard band RF bandwidth of any contiguous frequency band for local base stations operating across multiple frequency bands.

Outside the RF bandwidth of the base station, emissions do not exceed the maximum levels specified in Tables 7, 8, 11, and 12, wherein:

- ∆f is the distance between the channel edge frequency and the -3 dB reference point of the closest measurement filter near the carrier frequency;

- f_offset is the distance between the channel edge frequency and the center frequency of the measurement filter;

- f_offsetmax is the deviation from the 10 MHz outside the downlink operational frequency band;

- ∆fmax equals f_offsetmax minus half the bandwidth of the measurement filter.

For base stations operating across multiple frequency bands, within any guard band RF bandwidth with Wgap < 20 MHz, emissions do not exceed the cumulative total of the limits specified at the edges of the base station RF bandwidth on each side of the guard band RF bandwidth. The limits for the base station RF bandwidth edges are specified in Tables 7, 8, 11, and 12, wherein:

- ∆f is the distance between the base station RF bandwidth edge frequency and the -3 dB reference point of the closest measurement filter near the base station RF bandwidth edge.

- f_offset is the distance between the edge frequency of the RF bandwidth of the base station and the center frequency of the measurement filter;

- f_offsetmax equals the inter-band RF protection band width minus half the bandwidth of the measurement filter;

- ∆fmax equals f_offsetmax minus half the bandwidth of the measurement filter.

For wide-area BSs capable of multi-carrier operation, where multiple bands are mapped onto the same antenna port, the limits on unwanted emissions in the operating band also apply within any supported downlink band inside any transmitted carrier, in cases where there are (any) transmitted carriers in other supported operating bands. In this case, the non-cumulative limits apply within the inter-band protection band between a supported downlink band and (any) transmitted carriers and another supported downlink band outside any transmitted carrier, and:

- In the case where the inter-band protection band between a supported downlink band and (any) transmitted carriers and another supported downlink band outside any transmitted carrier is less than 20 MHz, f_offsetmax is the deviation from the 10 MHz frequency outside the outermost edges of the supported downlink bands and the limits on unwanted emissions in the operating band, where there are transmitted carriers, specified in the tables of this Article, apply to both downlink bands.

- In the case, the limits on unwanted emissions in the operating band of the band, where there are transmitted carriers, specified in the tables of this Article for the widest frequency deviation (∆fmax), apply from 10 MHz below the lowest frequency up to 10 MHz above the highest frequency of the supported downlink band outside any transmitted carrier.

Additionally, within any component block protection band with a wide-area BS operating in non-contiguous spectrum, the measurement results do not exceed the cumulative total of the limits prescribed for adjacent component blocks on each side of the component block protection band. The limit for each component block is specified in Tables 7, 8, 11, and 12, in this case:

- ∆f is the distance between the edge frequency of the component block and the -3 dB nominal point of the measurement filter closest to the edge of the component block;

- f_offset is the distance between the edge frequency of the component block and the center frequency of the measurement filter;

- f_offsetmax equals the component block protection band bandwidth minus half the bandwidth of the measurement filter;

- ∆fmax equals f_offsetmax minus half the bandwidth of the measurement filter.

2.2.5. Maximum Output Power of the Base Station

2.2.3.1. Definition

Unwanted emissions include out-of-band emissions and spurious emissions. Out-of-band emissions are emissions lying just outside the bandwidth of the channel, generated during modulation and due to the influence of nonlinearity in the transmitter. The limits of the out-of-band emissions of the base station (BS) transmitter are determined according to the unwanted emissions within the operating frequency band and the adjacent channel leakage ratio (ACLR).

The adjacent channel leakage ratio (ACLR) is the ratio between the average power of the root-raised cosine (RRC) filtered carrier centered on the assigned channel frequency and the average power of the RRC filtered carrier centered on the adjacent channel frequency.

This requirement applies outside the base station's radio frequency (RF) bandwidth or the maximum radio bandwidth for any type of transmitter (single-carrier or multi-carrier) and for any selected transmission mode that complies with the manufacturer's technical specifications. The signal-to-interference deviation is determined relative to the base station's RF bandwidth edges.

For a BS operating in non-contiguous spectrum, the ACLR applies to the first adjacent channel within the guard band of any component block having a guard band width Wgap ≥ 15 MHz. The ACLR requirement applies to the second adjacent channel within the guard band of any component block having a guard band width Wgap ≥ 20 MHz. The CACLR requirements specified in Article 2.2.3.2.2 apply within the guard bands for the specified frequency ranges in Table 13 for contiguous spectrum and Table 14 for non-contiguous spectrum.

For BS operating across multiple bands, these bands are mapped to the same antenna port, the ACLR applies to the first adjacent channel within the inter-band RF guard band with a guard band width Wgap ≥ 15 MHz. The ACLR requirement for the second adjacent channel applies within any inter-band RF guard band with any guard band width Wgap ≥ 20 MHz. The CACLR requirements in Article 2.2.3.2.2 apply within the inter-band RF guard bands for the specified frequency ranges in Table 13 for contiguous spectrum and Table 14 for non-contiguous spectrum.

These requirements apply throughout the transmitter's ON cycle.

2.2.3.2. Limits

2.2.3.2.1. ACLR Limits

ACLR with a square pulse filter of bandwidth equal to the configured transmission bandwidth (BWConfig) centered on the calculated channel frequency and a filter centered on the adjacent channel frequency as specified in Tables 13 and 14.

For wide-area BS, the ACLR limit is the limit specified in Tables 13 and 14 or the absolute limit of -15 dBm/MHz, whichever is less stringent.

For BS with medium coverage area, the ACLR limit is the limit specified in Tables 13 and 14 or the absolute limit of -25 dBm/MHz, whichever is less stringent.

For indoor BS, the ACLR limit is the limit specified in Tables 13 and 14 or the absolute limit of -50 dBm/MHz, whichever is less stringent.

For operation in contiguous spectrum, the ACLR must be greater than the value specified in Table 13.

2.2.3.2.2. Cumulative ACLR limits within non-contiguous spectrum bands

Requirements apply to the size of the component block protection gap or the inter-RF band protection gap listed in Table 17:

- Within a component block protection gap in the operating band for BS operating in non-contiguous spectrum bands;

- Within an inter-RF band protection gap for BS operating across multiple bands, where these bands are mapped onto the same antenna port.

The cumulative adjacent channel leakage ratio (ACLR) power ratio within a component block protection gap or an inter-RF band protection gap is the ratio of:

a) The total average filtered carrier power on the assigned channel frequencies for both adjacent carriers to each side of the component block protection gap or inter-RF band protection gap; and

b) The average filtered carrier power on an adjacent channel frequency to one of the edges of the component block or inter-RF band at the base station.

The assumed filters for the adjacent channel frequencies are specified in Table 17 for paired spectrum and Table 18 for unpaired spectrum. The filters on the assigned channels are specified in Table 19.

For wide-area BS, the CACLR limit is the limit specified in Table 17 for paired spectrum and Table 18 for unpaired spectrum or the absolute limit of -15 dBm/MHz, whichever is less stringent.

For medium-area BS, the CACLR limit is the limit specified in Table 17 for paired spectrum and Table 18 for unpaired spectrum or the absolute limit of -32 dBm/MHz, whichever is less stringent.

For local-area BS, the CACLR limit is the limit specified in Table 17 for paired spectrum and Table 18 for unpaired spectrum or the absolute limit of -50 dBm/MHz, whichever is less stringent.

For operation in non-contiguous spectrum or multiple carriers, the CACRL for the E-UTRA carriers on each side of the component block protection gap or inter-RF band protection gap must be greater than the value specified in Table 17 for paired spectrum and Table 18 for unpaired spectrum.

2.2.3.3. Measurement methods

Use the measurements described in Article 3.3.2.

2.2.6. Transmitter Modulation Characteristics

2.2.4.1. Definition

Unwanted emissions include out-of-band emissions and spurious emissions. Spurious emissions are emissions generated due to unwanted effects of the transmitter such as harmonic emissions, parasitic emissions, modulation products, and frequency conversion products, excluding out-of-band emissions. This value is measured at the base station's antenna port.

Spurious emission limits of the transmitter from 9 kHz to 12.75 GHz, excluding the frequency range from 10 MHz below the lowest downlink operating band frequency to 10 MHz above the highest downlink operating band frequency (see Table 1). Exclusions must be applied for each supported operating band with BS capable of multi-band operation, where multiple bands are mapped onto the same antenna port. Single-band requirements must be applied and multi-band exclusion and protection must not be applied for BS capable of multi-band operation, where multiple bands are mapped into separate antenna ports. Upper frequency limits above 12.75 GHz for operating bands.

For a BS supporting multiple carriers, unwanted emissions apply to channel bandwidths of carriers outside the main carrier larger than or equal to 5 MHz.

Requirements must be applied to all types of transmitters (single-carrier or multi-carrier). These requirements apply to all selected transmission modes compatible with the manufacturer's technical specifications. All requirements are measured as average power (RMS), unless otherwise specified.

2.2.4.2. Limits

2.2.4.2.1. Spurious emissions

2.2.4.2.2. Operation with Other Systems

This requirement must be applied to protect the UE/MS and the receivers of other systems' BS/BTS.

The power of any spurious emission must not exceed the limits set out in Table 21. The conditions and exclusions noted in the Notes to Table 21 must be applied for each frequency band for multi-band capable BSs. 2.2.7. Spurious Receiver Emissions

2.2.5.1. Definitions

The maximum output power Pmax,c of the base station is the average power on a carrier frequency measured at the antenna connector throughout the ON cycle of the transmitter under specified standard conditions.

2.2.5.2. Limitations

- Under normal conditions: Prated,c - 2.7 ≤ Pmax,c ≤ Prated,c + 2.7;

- Under threshold conditions: Prated,c - 3.2 ≤ Pmax,c ≤ Prated,c + 3.2.

2.2.5.3. Measurement Method

Use the measurement methods prescribed in Article 3.3.4.

2.2.8. Blocking Characteristics

Customer assistance service is a service that provides answers to inquiries, advice, guidance on using the service, accepts requests, and provides information to customers about IPTV services on the fixed terrestrial telecommunications network.

The modulation transmission index is a measure of the transmitter's ability to eliminate signal formation in the nonlinear elements of the transmitter due to the appearance of the desired signal and interfering signals through the transmitter antenna. This index applies throughout the ON cycle of the transmitter and the transition cycle of the transmitter.

The modulation transmission level is the power of the modulation products when a modulated E-UTRA interference signal of 5 MHz channel bandwidth appears at the antenna connector with an average power level less than 30 dB below the average power level of the desired signal.

For BS capable of multi-band operation, where multiple bands are mapped onto separate antenna connectors, the single-band requirements apply independently of the relative positions of the interfering signals compared to the RF band protection spacing.

The desired signal is a single carrier, multi-carrier, or adjacent multi-carrier E-UTRA signal, for both contiguous and non-contiguous spectrum operations.

This requirement applies to all types of transmitters (single carrier or multi-carrier) and all transmission modes announced by the manufacturer.

2.2.6.2. Limitations

The channel bandwidth of the desired signal BWChannel is the maximum channel bandwidth.

Within the frequency range relevant to this requirement, the modulation transmission level does not exceed the unwanted emission limit specified in Articles 2.2.2.2, 2.2.3.2, and 2.2.4.2 when there is an interfering signal as defined in Table 24.

For BS operating in discontinuous spectrum, this requirement applies to the offset of interfering signals within the component block protection spacing, when the interfering signal lies entirely within the component block. The offset of the interfering signal is specified relative to the edges of the component block.

For BS capable of multi-band operation, this requirement applies to the edge of the RF band of each supported operating band of the base station. In cases where the inter-band RF protection spacing is less than 15 MHz, this requirement only applies to offsets of interfering signals within the protection spacing, when the interfering signal lies entirely within the inter-band RF protection spacing.

This requirement applies outside the base station RF band or the maximum radio band. The offset of the interfering signal is specified relative to the edges of the base station RF band or the maximum radio band.

Table 24 - Interfering and Desired Signals for Modulation Transmission Transmitter Equipment

ParameterValueOffset of the center frequency of the interfering signal from the low/high edge of the desired signal or the component block edge within the component block protection spacing±2.5 MHz±7.5 MHz±12.5 MHzNOTE: This requirement excludes positions of interfering signals that lie partially or completely outside the operating band of the base station downlink, except for positions of interfering signals that lie within the frequency range of adjacent operating bands in the same coverage area.

In cases where the positions of interfering signals do not comply with the provisions in Table 24, a channel bandwidth BWChannel smaller than the maximum channel bandwidth supported by the BS must satisfy that at least one position of the interfering signal meets the provisions in Table 24.

The measurement for the desired emission index for modulation transmission may be limited by the frequency ranges of all third-order or fifth-order modulation products, taking into account the width of these modulation products and excluding the desired bandwidth and the interfering signal bandwidth.

2.2.6.3. Measurement Method

Use the measurement methods prescribed in Article 3.3.5.

2.2.9. Receiver Modulation Characteristics

2.2.7.1. Definition

Receiver spurious emission power is the power of emissions generated or amplified in the receiver appearing at the BS antenna connector. The following requirements apply to all BS with separate RX and TX antenna ports. Testing must be performed when both TX and RX are turned on, with the TX port terminated.

For TDD BS with shared RX and TX antenna ports, these requirements apply throughout the OFF cycle of the transmitter. For FDD BS with shared RX and TX antenna ports, the spurious emission limits of the transmitter are specified in Article 2.2.4.

For BS capable of multi-band operation, where multiple bands are mapped onto separate antenna connectors, the single-band requirements apply and the excluded frequency bands apply only to the supported operating band on each antenna connector.

2.2.7.2. Limitations

The power of any spurious emission shall not exceed the limits specified in Table 25.

In addition to the requirements in Table 25, the power of any spurious emission shall not exceed the provisions in 2.2.4.2.2 and 2.2.4.2.3.

Additionally, except for frequencies greater than 10 MHz below the lowest supported downlink operating band frequency or above the highest supported downlink operating band frequency (see Table 1).For BS capable of multi-band operation, the excluded frequency bands apply to all supported operating bands. For BS capable of multi-band operation, where multiple bands are mapped onto separate antenna connectors, the single-band requirements and excluded frequency bands apply only to the supported operating band on each antenna connector.

2.2.7.3. Measurement Method

Use the measurement methods prescribed in Article 3.3.6.

2.2.10. Adjacent Channel Selectivity (ACS) and Narrowband Blocking

2.2.8.1. Definition

Blocking characteristics are measurements of the receiver's ability to receive the desired signal at the channel frequency of that receiver when there is unwanted interference at frequencies 1.4 MHz, 3 MHz, or 5 MHz from the E-UTRA signal for in-band blocking or from the CW signal for out-of-band blocking. The interfering E-UTRA signal is specified in Appendix C of ETSI TS 136 141.

2.2.8.2. Limits

Throughput must be ≥ 95% of the maximum throughput of the reference channel, with a desired signal and a coupled interfering signal applied to the antenna input of the BS using the parameters in Table 29 and Tables 26, 27, 28, or 30, depending on the class of base station declared and the operating band. The reference channel for the desired signal is the channel measured for each channel bandwidth specified in Tables 7.2-1, 7.2-2, 7.2-2, or 7.2-4 of ETSI TS 136 141, depending on the class of base station and defined in Appendix A of ETSI TS 136 141.

Blocking requirements apply outside the base station RF bandwidth or the maximum radio bandwidth. The offset of the interfering signal is specified relative to the edges of the base station RF bandwidth and the edges of the maximum radio bandwidth.

For a BS operating within non-contiguous spectrum bands within any operating band, if the guard band component size is wider than or equal to twice the offset of the interfering signal in Table 29, additional blocking requirements apply within any guard band component. The offset of the interfering signal is specified relative to the edges of the guard band component.

For a BS capable of multi-band operation, the in-band blocking requirements apply to each supported operating band within the frequency ranges specified in the in-band blocking bands. If the inter-band RF guard band size is wider than or equal to twice the offset of the interfering signal in Table 29, additional blocking requirements apply within any inter-band RF guard band.

For a BS capable of multi-band operation, the out-of-band blocking requirements apply to each operating band. Out-of-band blocking requirements do not apply to the in-band blocking frequency ranges specified in Tables 26, 27, and 30 for supported operating bands.

2.2.8.3. Measurement Method

Use the measurements prescribed in Article 3.3.7.

2.2.11. Indoor Output Power of the Base Station for Protecting the Adjacent UTRA Channel

2.2.9.1. Definition

The mixing of third and higher order harmonics of two RF interference signals may generate interference signals within the band of the desired channel. The removal of intermodulation response is a measure of the receiver's ability to receive a desired signal at the assigned frequency of that channel in the presence of two related frequency interference signals. The interference signal may be a CW signal or an E-UTRA signal as defined in Appendix C of ETSI TS 136 141.

2.2.9.2. Limits

The throughput of each E-UTRA carrier shall be greater than or equal to 95% of the maximum throughput of the reference channel, with a desired signal at the assigned channel frequency and two interference signals under the conditions specified in Tables 31 and 32 for intermodulation performance and Tables 33,

34, 35, or 36 for narrowband intermodulation for the declared base station classes. The reference channel for the desired signal is defined in Tables 7.2-1, 7-2-2, or 7.2-3 of ETSI TS 136 141 for each channel bandwidth and in Appendix A of ETSI TS 136 141.

The intermodulation requirements for the receiver always apply outside the base station RF bandwidth or the maximum radio bandwidth. The offset of the interference signal is defined relative to the edges of the base station RF bandwidth and the maximum radio bandwidth.

For a base station operating in non-contiguous spectrum within any operating band, if the component block protection band is wider than or equal to the E-UTRA channel bandwidth of the interference signal in Table 32, additional narrowband intermodulation requirements apply within any component block protection band. The offset of the interference signal is defined relative to the edges of the component blocks within the component block protection band. This requirement applies to all component blocks.

For a base station capable of multi-band operation, the intermodulation requirements apply within any inter-RF bandwidth, where the size of the protection band must be wider than or equal to twice the frequency offset of the central E-UTRA interference signal from the edge of the base station RF bandwidth.

For a base station capable of multi-band operation, the narrowband intermodulation requirements apply within any inter-RF bandwidth protection band, where the size of the protection band is wider than or equal to the E-UTRA interference signals specified in Tables 33,

34, or 36. The offset of the interference signal is defined relative to the edges of the base station RF bandwidth within the inter-RF bandwidth protection band.

2.2.12. Indoor Output Power of the Base Station for Protecting the Adjacent E-UTRA Channel

2.2.10.1. Definition

Adjacent Channel Selectivity (ACS) and Narrowband Blocking are measures of the receiver's ability to receive a desired signal at the assigned channel frequency when an interfering signal from an adjacent channel is present at a specified frequency offset from the channel edge of a victim system. The interfering signals must be an E-UTRA signal defined in Appendix C of ETSI TS 136 141. For narrowband blocking, the interference signal is a single E-UTRA resource block.

2.2.10.2. Limits

Throughput must be ≥ 95% of the maximum throughput of the reference channel.

2.2.10.3. Measurement method

Use the measurements prescribed in Article 3.3.9.

2.2.13. Indoor Output Power of the Base Station for Protecting the Co-Channel E-UTRA

2.2.11.1. Definition

Indoor base stations must be capable of adjusting the transmitter output power to minimize adjacent channel interference while optimizing the coverage area of the indoor base station, in the case where an adjacent channel is licensed to another operator in the same geographic area. These requirements apply only to indoor base stations and apply under AWGN radio transmission conditions.

2.2.11.2. Limits

The output power Pout of the indoor base station must comply with the provisions in Table 43 under the following input conditions:

- CPICH Ec, measured in dBm, is the encoded power of the primary CPICH on one of the existing adjacent channels at the antenna connector of the indoor base station relative to the received CPICH on the adjacent channels. If CPICH primary spreading is applied, CPICH Ec equals the sum (W) of the encoded powers of the primary CPICH transmitted from each antenna.

- loh, measured in dBm, is the total received multiplexed power, including signals and interference but excluding the indoor base station's own signals present at the antenna connector of the indoor base station on the active channel.

The input conditions for the requirements in this section are defined at the antenna connector of the indoor base station. For indoor base station receivers that are multiplexed, the requirements apply separately to each individual antenna connector, with other antenna connectors terminated or disabled. These requirements do not change under different conditions. For indoor base stations without measurement capability, a standard antenna with zero gain (0 dBi) is assumed to convert power levels to field strength.

NOTES: This requirement tests the mandatory mechanism for the indoor base station's output power to protect adjacent UTRA channels, assuming there is an adjacent UTRA channel licensed to another operator that needs protection. For operating indoor base stations, if both adjacent channels are licensed to other operators, the strictest requirement applies to Pout. In cases where one adjacent channel is licensed to an E-UTRA operator while the other adjacent channel is licensed to a UTRA operator, the stricter requirement of this clause and Clause 2.2.11 applies to Pout. When both adjacent channels and the active channel of the indoor base station are licensed to the same operator, these requirements do not apply.

- Under threshold operating conditions, the output power Pout of the indoor base station must be equal to or less than the value specified in Table 43 plus 3.2 dB.

2.2.11.3. Measurement method

Use the measurements prescribed in Article 3.3.10.

2.2.14. Standard Selectivity Level

2.2.12.1. Definition and applicability

Indoor base stations must be capable of adjusting the transmitter output power to minimize adjacent channel interference from licensed operators in the same geographic area while optimizing the coverage area of the indoor base station. These requirements apply only to indoor base stations and apply under AWGN radio transmission conditions.

2.2.12.2. Limits

The output power Pout of the indoor base station must comply with the provisions in Table 44 under the following input conditions:

- CRS Es, measured in dBm, is the received power of the reference signal on a resource element on one of the existing adjacent channels at the antenna connector of the indoor base station relative to the received reference signal on the adjacent channels. To determine CRS Es, the cell-specific reference signal R0 specified in ETSI TS 136 211 must be used. If the indoor base station detects multiple TX antennas being used to transmit on the adjacent channel, the average (W) of CRS Es across all detected antennas may be used.

- loh, measured in dBm, is the total received multiplexed power, including both signals and interference but excluding the indoor base station's own signals present at the antenna connector of the indoor base station on the active channel.

The input conditions for the requirements set forth herein are defined at the antenna connector of the indoor base station (BS). For the receivers of the indoor BS repeaters, these requirements apply to each individual antenna connector, with other connectors being terminated or disabled. These requirements do not change under different conditions. For indoor BSs that lack measurement capability, a standard antenna with a gain of 0 dBi is assumed to convert power levels to field strength.

NOTE: This requirement checks the mandatory mechanism for the output power of the indoor BS to protect the adjacent E-UTRA channel, assuming there is an adjacent E-UTRA channel licensed to another operator that needs protection. For operating indoor BSs where both adjacent channels are licensed to other operators, the strictest requirement is applied to Pout. In cases where one of the adjacent channels is licensed to an E-UTRA operator while the other adjacent channel is licensed to a UTRA operator, the stricter requirement of this clause and Clause 2.2.11 is applied to Pout. If both adjacent channels and the active channel of the indoor BS are licensed to the same operator, then the requirements of this clause do not apply.

2.2.12.3. Measurement Method

Use the measurements prescribed in Clause 3.3.11.

2.2.15. Radiation Emissions

2.2.13.1. Definition and Applicability

To minimize downlink co-channel interference to nearby macro non-CSG UEs while optimizing the coverage area of the indoor CSG base station, the indoor BS may adjust its output power according to the requirements presented herein. The requirements in this clause may be applied to radio transmission conditions AWGN.

2.2.13.2. Limits

For indoor BSs supporting the requirements specified in this clause, the output power, Pout, of the indoor BS must comply with the provisions in Table 45 based on the following input conditions:

- CRS Es, measured in dBm, is the received power of the reference signal on the current resource element from the co-channel wide-area BS at the antenna connector of the indoor BS receiver. To determine CRS Es, the characteristic cell-specific reference signal (RO) specified in ETSI TS 136 211 must be used. If the indoor BS detects multiple TX antenna ports being used by the co-channel wide-area BS for transmission, the average value (W) of CRS Es across all detected TX antenna ports, including R0, may be used.

- loh, measured in dBm, is the total downlink received power, including all interference but excluding the signal of the indoor BS itself, present at the antenna connector of the indoor BS on the active channel.

- lob, measured in dBm, is the uplink interference received power, including thermal noise, within the physical resource block bandwidth of the resource elements defined in ETSI TS 136 214, present at the antenna connector of the indoor BS on the active channel. The input conditions for the requirements specified in this clause are defined at the antenna connector of the indoor BS. For the receivers of the indoor BS repeaters, these requirements apply to each individual antenna connector, with other connectors being terminated or disabled. The requirements do not change under different conditions. For indoor BSs lacking measurement capability, a standard antenna with a gain of 0 dBi is assumed to convert power levels to field strength.

3. MEASUREMENT METHODS

3.3. Essential Parameters for the Wireless Part

The measurements defined in this standard must be performed at representative points within the boundary conditions of the declared operational environment.

At points where technical parameters vary depending on environmental conditions, measurements must be conducted under diverse environmental conditions (within the boundary conditions of the declared operational environment) to verify compliance with affected technical requirements.

Generally, all measurements must be carried out under normal measurement conditions unless otherwise specified. Appendix B can be referred to for using different measurement conditions to check compliance.

This specifies the measurement methods for E-UTRA (FDD and TDD).

Measurement configurations and channel bandwidths for multi-carrier operations must conform to the provisions of Articles 4.10, 5.7.1, and 5.7.1A of ETSI TS 136 141.

Typically, all measurements must be performed with the lowest and highest supported bandwidths, unless otherwise specified. In cases where measurements are not performed, the manufacturer must declare applicability for all other supported bandwidths.

In single-carrier scenarios, multiple measurements are conducted at appropriate frequencies at the end, middle, and beginning of the base station's operating frequency band. These frequencies are designated as B (end), M (middle), and T (beginning) of the RF channels and are defined in Article 4.7 of ETSI TS 136 141.

In single-band multi-carrier scenarios, multiple measurements are conducted at the maximum RF bandwidth of the base station at the end, middle, and beginning of the supported frequency range in each operating band. These frequencies are designated as BRFBW (end), MRFBW (middle), and TRFBW (beginning) for non-aggregated channels and are defined in Article 4.7.1 of ETSI TS 136 141.

In dual-band scenarios, multiple measurements are conducted at the RF bandwidth of the base station at the end of the supported frequency range in the lower operating band and at the beginning of the supported frequency range in the upper operating band. These frequencies are designated as BRFBW_T’RFBW and B’RFBW_TRFBW and are defined in Article 4.7.1 of ETSI TS 136 141.

The measurement systems specified for each measurement are described in Appendix C.

3.3.1. Unwanted Emissions within the Operating Band

The results recorded in the measurement report of the measurements prescribed in this standard must be explained as follows:

- The measured value relates to the corresponding limit used to determine whether the equipment meets the standard requirements;

- The measurement uncertainty value for each parameter measurement must be included in the measurement report;

- For each measurement, the recorded measurement uncertainty value must be less than or equal to the value given in Table 51.

According to this standard, in measurement methods, these uncertainty values must be calculated according to ETSI TR 100 028, specifically in Appendix D of ETSI TR 100 028-2, and must correspond to an expansion factor (coverage factor) k = 1.96 or k = 2 (this factor specifies a confidence level of 95% and 95.45% in the case of actual measurement uncertainty distributions that are Gaussian).

Table 51 is based on this expansion factor.

This procedure ensures that a measurement system that does not comply with Table 51 does not increase the probability of passing an EUT in the case of erroneous measurements.

3.3.2. Adjacent Channel Leakage Ratio (ACLR)

3.3.3. Spurious Transmitter Emissions

3.3.1.1. Initial Conditions

Measurement Environment: Normal; see Clause B1, Appendix B.

The RF channels required for single-carrier measurements: B, M, and T; see Clause 3.1.

The RF bandwidth positions of the base station that need to be measured:

- BRFBW, MRFBW, and TRFBW at single-band operation; see Clause 3.1.

- BRFBW_T'RFBW and B'RFBW_TRFBW at multi-band operation; see Clause 3.1.

Measurement Setup:

1) Connect the signal analyzer to the base station antenna port according to Clause C.1.1, Appendix C.

Generally, the resolution bandwidth of the measuring instrument must equal the measurement bandwidth. However, to increase accuracy, sensitivity, and measurement performance, and to avoid carrier leakage, etc., the resolution bandwidth may be smaller than the measurement bandwidth. When the resolution bandwidth is smaller than the measurement bandwidth, the results must be integrated over the measurement bandwidth to obtain the equivalent noise bandwidth of the measurement bandwidth.

2) Carrier separation mode: RMS voltage.

3.3.1.2. Measurement Procedure

1) For a base station capable of single-carrier operation only, set up the base station to transmit signals according to E-TM1.1 of ETSI TS 136 141 at the rated output power Prated,c as specified by the manufacturer.

For a base station capable of multi-carrier operation, set up the base station to transmit signals according to E-TM1.1 on all configured carriers using the test model and corresponding power settings as specified in Clauses 4.10 and 4.11 of ETSI TS 136 141.

2) Tune the center frequency of the measurement filter in steps and measure the emissions in the designated frequency bands with the specified measurement bandwidth. For base stations operating in multiple bands or non-contiguous spectra, emissions in the inter-band RF or component guardband must be measured using the specified measurement bandwidth from the edge of the base station RF bandwidth or the nearest component guardband.

3) Repeat the measurements with the channel setup according to E-TM1.2 of ETSI TS 136 141.

Additionally, the following applies to a base station capable of multi-band operation:

4) For single-band and multi-carrier base stations, repeat the above steps for each relevant band where the single-band measurement setups and test models apply to carriers not active in other bands. For multi-band base stations with separate antenna ports, do not perform measurements when the single-band or multi-band antenna ports are terminated.

3.3.4. Maximum Output Power of the Base Station

3.3.2.1. Initial Conditions

Measurement Environment: Normal: see Clause B1, Appendix B.

1) Connect the measuring equipment to the base station antenna port according to Clause C.1.1, Appendix C.

2) The characteristics of the measuring equipment must be:

- Measurement filter bandwidth: specified in Clause 2.2.3.2.

3.3.13. Mức chọn lọc chuẩn

E R.P (dBm) = e.i.r.p. (dBm) -2,15

- Thiết bị phải được đo kiểm trong các điều kiện đo kiểm bình thường theo quy định;

- Cấu hình đo kiểm càng gần với cấu hình sử dụng thông thường càng tốt;

- Nếu thiết bị là một phần của hệ thống hoặc được kết nối hệ thống qua thiết bị phụ, thì có thể đo kiểm thiết bị khi kết nối với cấu hình tối thiểu của thiết bị phụ cần thiết để thử các cổng;

- Nếu thiết bị có nhiều cổng, phải lựa chọn đủ số cổng để mô phỏng các điều kiện hoạt động thực và bảo đảm rằng tất cả các kết cuối khác nhau đều được đo kiểm;

- Các điều kiện đo kiểm, các cấu hình đo kiểm và chế độ hoạt động phải được ghi lại trong báo cáo đo kiểm;

- Các cổng hoạt động bình thường được kết nối với một thiết bị phụ hoặc một đoạn cáp để mô phỏng các đặc tính vào/ra của thiết bị phụ, các cổng vào/ra tần số vô tuyến (RF) được kết cuối chính xác;

PHỤ LỤC A

(Quy định)

Cấu hình trạm gốc

1) Điều 3.3.4, công suất ra cực đại của trạm gốc, chỉ đối với mức công suất tĩnh cao nhất, nếu đo tại đầu nối ăng ten;

2) Điều 3.3.3, các phát xạ phổ của máy phát; bên ngoài băng phát của BS;

A.5. BS sử dụng các giàn ăng ten

Một BS có thể được cấu hình với một kết nối đa cổng ăng ten cho một số hoặc tất cả các máy thu phát của nó; hoặc một BS có thể được cấu hình với một giàn ăng ten liên quan đến một cell (không phải một giàn cho từng máy thu phát). Điều này áp dụng cho một BS đáp ứng được ít nhất một trong các điều kiện sau đây;

Hình A.1 - Thiết lập đo kiểm máy thu

Hình A.2 - Thiết lập đo kiểm máy phát

- Áp suất khí quyển: thấp nhất và cao nhất;

- Nhiệt độ: thấp nhất và cao nhất;

- Độ ẩm tương đối: thấp nhất và cao nhất;
