On the basis of Decree No. 06/2019/NĐ-CP dated January 22, 2019 of the Government on the management of wild plants and animals in danger of extinction, precious and rare animals and plants and the implementation of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora;

Pursuant to Decree No. 123/2016/NĐ-CP dated September 1, 2016 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of Ministries and ministerial-level agencies;

Pursuant to Decree No. 15/2017/NĐ-CP dated February 17, 2017 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development;

The Prime Minister promulgates this Decision

At the proposal of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development;

amending and supplementing some articles of Decision No. 28/2017/QĐ-TTg dated July 3, 2017 of the Prime Minister on the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Forest Administration under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.Amending and supplementing some articles of Decision No. 28/2017/QĐ-TTg dated July 3, 2017 of the Prime Minister on the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Forest Administration under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development as follows:

Article 1. Amending and supplementing some articles of Decision No. 28/2017/QĐ-TTg dated July 3, 2017 of the Prime Minister on the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Forest Administration under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development as follows:

1. Amending and supplementing Clause 7 of Article 2 as follows:

"7. Implementing the tasks of the Competent Authority for the Management of CITES Vietnam according to the assignment of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development."

2. Amending and supplementing Clause 9 of Article 3 as follows:

"9. Competent Authority for the Management of CITES Vietnam (with a CITES Representative in Ho Chi Minh City)."

Article 2. This Decision takes effect from October 20, 2020.

Article 3. The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Heads of government-affiliated agencies, Chairpersons of provincial People's Committees directly under the central government, and the Director of the Forest Administration are responsible for implementing this Decision.
