Pursuant to the Vietnam Maritime Code on November 25, 2015;
Pursuant to the Law on Standards and Technical Regulations dated June 29, 2006;
Based on Decree No. 132/2008/NĐ-CP dated December 31, 2008 of the Government detailing implementation of certain provisions
Pursuant to Decree No. 78/2018/NĐ-CP dated May 16, 2018 of the Government amending and supplementing certain articles of Decree No. 127/2007/NĐ-CP dated August 1, 2007 of the Government detailing the implementation of some provisions of the Law on Technical Regulations and Standards;
BASED ON THE DECREE NO. 56/2022/ND-CP dated August 24, 2022 of THE GOVERNMENT stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of THE MINISTRY OF TRANSPORT;
At the proposal of the Director of the Science, Technology, and Environment Department and the Director of the Vietnam Registration Agency;
THE MINISTER OF TRANSPORTATION ISSUES THIS CIRCULAR Article 24TECHNICAL REGULATION ON CLASSIFICATION AND TECHNICAL SUPERVISION OF MOBILE PLATFORMS AT SEA
Article 1. ATTACHED TO THIS CIRCULAR IS THE NATIONAL TECHNICAL REGULATION ON CLASSIFICATION AND TECHNICAL SUPERVISION OF MOBILE PLATFORMS AT SEA.
REGISTRATION CODE: QCVN 48:2024/BGTVT.
Article 2. Implementation Provisions
1. This Circular takes effect from February 1, 2025.
2. CERTIFICATES ISSUED TO PLATFORMS PRIOR TO THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS CIRCULAR SHALL CONTINUE TO BE VALID UNTIL THE EXPIRATION DATE OF SUCH CERTIFICATES.
3. ABOLISH Clause 1 of Article 1 of Circular No. 55/2012/TT-BGTVT dated December 26, 2012 of the Minister of Transportation promulgating the National Technical Regulation on Classification and Technical Supervision of Mobile Platforms at Sea and the National Technical Regulation on Classification and Technical Supervision of Fixed Platforms at Sea.
Article 3. THE HEAD OF THE MINISTRY’S OFFICE, THE HEAD OF THE MINISTRY’S INSPECTION DEPARTMENT, DIRECTORS OF DEPARTMENTS, DIRECTORS OF VIETNAM MARITIME QUALITY ASSURANCE AGENCY, HEADS OF MINISTRY OF TRANSPORTATION’S ORGANIZATIONS AND UNITS, AND RELEVANT ORGANIZATIONS AND INDIVIDUALS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR IMPLEMENTING THIS CIRCULAR./.
