DECREE OF THE MINISTER OF LABOR

ORGANIZATION OF LOCAL LABOR AUTHORITIES AT THE ZONE AND PROVINCE LEVELS

THE MINISTER OF LABOR

Pursuant to Decree No. 226/SL dated November 28, 1946 organizing the Ministry of Labor in the current Government;

Pursuant to Decree No. 169/SL dated April 14, 1948 organizing local labor authorities;

Pursuant to Decree No. 20 dated May 15, 1948 of the Minister of Labor defining the tasks of Labor Departments and Offices;

DECREE:

Article 1. -From the date this decree takes effect, Labor Departments shall be called "Zone Labor Authorities," each under the direction of a Zone Labor Authority Director.

Article 2. -In provinces where there are significant labor relations, a Labor Office shall be established, under the direction of a Labor Office Chief.

In adjacent provinces where labor relations are less significant, a joint provincial Labor Office shall be established.

In other provinces, labor matters will be directly handled by the Provincial Anti-French Resistance Administrative Committee.

Article 3. The Director of the Ministry of Labor's Office, the Chairmen of the Anti-French Resistance Administrative Committees of the zones, and the Zone Labor Authority Directors shall implement this decree accordingly./.
