Regarding the adjustment of administrative boundaries of communes; establishment of communes, wards, and towns belonging to
U Minh district, Ngoc Hien district, and Ca Mau city, Ca Mau province

THE GOVERNMENT
Based on the Law on the Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;
Considering the proposal of the Minister of Interior and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province,
RESOLVES
Article 1. The administrative boundaries of communes; establishment of communes, wards, and towns belonging to U Minh district, Ngoc Hien district, and Ca Mau city, Ca Mau province are adjusted as follows:
1. Establishing Khanh Thuan commune under U Minh district based on adjusting 17,148 hectares of natural area and 13,127 population from Khanh Hoa commune.
Khanh Thuan commune has 17,148 hectares of natural area and 13,127 population.
Administrative boundary of Khanh Thuan commune: East borders Bien Bac and Tan Bang communes, Thoi Binh district; West borders Khanh Hoa commune, U Minh district; South borders U Minh town and Nguyen Phich commune, U Minh district; North borders Van Khanh Tay commune, An Minh district, Kien Giang province.
2. Establishing Rach Goc town under Ngoc Hien district based on adjusting 5,271.50 hectares of natural area and 7,831 population from Tan An commune.
Rach Goc town has 5,271.50 hectares of natural area and 7,831 population.

- Tan An commune retains 6,172.45 hectares of natural area and 5,012 population.
Ngoc Hien district has 73,315.13 hectares of natural area and 83,152 population, with 07 subordinate administrative units including communes: Dat Mui, Tan An, Tan An Tay, Tam Giang Tay, Vien An, Vien An Dong, and Rach Goc town.
