THE MINISTER OF TRADE
Pursuant to Decree No. 95/CP dated December 4, 1993 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, authorities, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Trade;
Pursuant to Decree No. 45/2000/NĐ-CP dated September 6, 2000 of the Government on Representative Offices and Branches of Foreign Businesses and Foreign Tourism Enterprises in Vietnam; Circular Joint No. 20/2000/TTLT-BTM-TCDL dated October 20, 2000 of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the General Administration of Tourism guiding the implementation of the aforementioned Decree and implementing Article 13, Chapter III of the Regulation on the Lao Bao Trade Zone issued together with Decision No. 219/1998/QĐ-TTg dated November 12, 1998 of the Prime Minister;
Considering the proposal of the People's Committee of Quang Tri Province regarding the delegation to issue Licenses for Establishing Branches of Foreign Businesses in the Lao Bao Trade Zone (document No. 238/UB-TM dated February 24, 2003).
DECISION:
Article 1. Delegating the People's Committee of Quang Tri Province to issue Licenses for Establishing Branches of Foreign Businesses in the Lao Bao Trade Zone.
Article 2. The issuance, amendment, supplementation, and revocation of Licenses for Establishing Branches of Foreign Businesses in the Lao Bao Trade Zone shall be carried out in accordance with current Vietnamese laws.
Article 3. Annually, no later than April 15 of the following year, the People's Committee of Quang Tri Province shall submit to the Ministry of Industry and Trade a report on the previous year's situation regarding the issuance, amendment, supplementation, and revocation of Licenses for Establishing Branches and the operation of Branches of Foreign Businesses in the Lao Bao Trade Zone.
Article 4. This Decision takes effect from April 1, 2003.
