DECREE

NUMBER 245 OCTOBER 14, 1948

CHAIRMAN OF THE GOVERNMENT OF THE DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF VIETNAM

Pursuant to Decree No. 138 dated July 24, 1946 and Decree No. 199 dated October 15, 1946 establishing monthly allowances for members of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly,

At the proposal of the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Finance;

After the Government Council and the Standing Committee of the National Assembly have reached an agreement;

ISSUES THE DECREE:

Article 1

The two Decrees No. 138 dated July 24, 1946 and No. 199 dated October 15, 1946 mentioned above are hereby repealed.

Article 2

Members of the Standing Committee and the Standing Committee of the National Assembly shall be entitled to a basic monthly allowance as follows, starting from May 1, 1948:

- Chairman: 800 piastres,

- Deputy Chairman: 700 piastres,

- Member of the Standing Committee: 600 piastres,

- Member of the Standing Committee: 550 piastres.

Article 3

In addition to the basic allowance stipulated in Article 2, those who have families shall be entitled to an additional monthly allowance as follows:

- For having a wife or up to three children requiring maintenance: half of the basic allowance,

- For having four or more children requiring maintenance: three-quarters of the basic allowance.

 

 

Article 4

The Ministers of the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Finance are responsible for implementing this Decree.
