Decree No. 246/SL stipulates monthly allowances for Ministers and Deputy Ministers.

DECREE

NUMBER 246/SL ON OCTOBER 14, 1948

CHAIRMAN OF THE VIETNAM DEMOCRATIC REPUBLICIC GOVERNMENT

Pursuant to Decree No. 136-SL dated July 24, 1946, which established allowances for Ministers and Deputy Ministers;

At the proposal of the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Finance;

After the Government Council and the Standing Committee of the National Assembly reached an agreement;

ISSUES THE DECREE:

Article 1

The aforementioned Decree No. 136-SL dated July 24, 1946 is hereby repealed.

Article 2

From May 1, 1948, the following monthly allowances shall be granted to Ministers, Deputy Ministers of Ministries, and the Chief Commander of the National Army and People's Militia of Vietnam:

Minister and Chief Commander of the National Army

and People's Militia of Vietnam...800đ

Deputy Minister...700đ.

Article 3

In addition to the allowance specified in Article 2, those who have families shall receive the following monthly allowances:

- Those with a wife or from one to three children to support: half of the basic allowance,

- Those with four or more children to support: three-quarters of the basic allowance.

Article 4

The Ministers of the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Finance are responsible for implementing this Decree.
