DECISION
Regarding the establishment of the Education and Training Catalogue for the National Education System
PRIME MINISTER
Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;
Pursuant to the Education Law dated December 2, 1998;
Based on the Statistics Law dated June 17, 2003;
Considering the proposal of the General Statistics Office Director,
DECISION:
Article 1. The Education and Training Catalogue for the National Education System shall include four levels.
- Level I: Educational and training qualifications. - Level II: Fields of education and training. - Level III: Groups of programs (groups of majors, groups of trades) in education and training. - Level IV: Programs, majors, and trades in education and training.
Article 2. Attached to this Decision is the Education and Training Catalogue of Vietnam at Level I (educational and training qualifications) and Level II (fields of education and training).
Article 3. The Ministry of Education and Training and the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, based on their assigned functions and tasks and the provisions of Article 1 of this Decision, shall cooperate with the General Statistics Office to develop and promulgate the Education and Training Catalogue at Level III and Level IV.
Article 4. The Ministry of Education and Training and the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs shall cooperate with the General Statistics Office to guide the implementation of this Decision.
The General Statistics Office shall be responsible for monitoring, compiling, and reporting to the Prime Minister on the implementation of these provisions.
Article 5. This Decision takes effect fifteen days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette.
Article 6. Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Heads of agencies under the Government, Chairpersons of People's Committees of provinces and centrally governed cities are responsible for implementing this Decision.
