DECREE

ISSUING THE MODEL OF THE NATIONAL EMBLEM OF THE DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF VIETNAM

PRESIDENT OF THE DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF VIETNAM

Pursuant to the resolution of the National Assembly at the V session in September 1955 and with the consent of the Council of Ministers.

ISSUES THE DECREE:

Article 1: Now issues the model of the national emblem of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam (the model of the national emblem attached hereto).

Article 2: The model of the national emblem is as follows:

- Two sheaves of ripe golden-yellow rice stalks on a bright yellow background, symbolizing agriculture;

- A gear wheel placed between the two sheaves towards the base, colored bright yellow, symbolizing industry;

- A red band bearing the words "Democratic Republic of Vietnam" in gold, winding around the gear wheel and the two sheaves;

- Within the center is the image of the national flag with a bright red field and a golden star.

Article 3: The Prime Minister shall implement this Decree.
