DECREE-LAW

NO. 256/SL OF November 19, 1948

CHAIRMAN OF THE GOVERNMENT OF THE DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF VIETNAM

Pursuant to Decree-Law No. 33 dated March 22, 1946 and Decree-Law No. 71 dated March 22, 1946 organizing and establishing the rules of the National Army;

At the proposal of the Minister of Defense and the Minister of Finance,

Considering the urgent need during wartime,

ENACTS THE FOLLOWING DECREE:

Article 1

During wartime, if deemed necessary, the Minister of Defense may issue Military Supply Certificates.

For difficult communication zones, the Minister of Defense has the authority to issue Military Supply Certificates for Regional Commanders.

Article 2

The detailed implementation of this Decree-Law shall be prescribed by the Joint Ministry of Defense and Finance.

Article 3

The Ministers of Defense and Finance are responsible for implementing this Decree-Law accordingly.
