Regarding the establishment of the Inter-Ministerial Working Group on APEC 2006

Based on the results of the 14th APEC Ministerial Meeting on Economic and Trade Ministers in Mexico concerning Vietnam's hosting of APEC in 2006;

Article 1. The Inter-Ministerial Working Group on APEC 2006 is established to coordinate the activities of relevant ministries and agencies in researching and proposing plans and measures regarding the content, personnel, and logistics for preparing to host the Informal Meeting of APEC Economic Leaders (High-Level Meeting) and related meetings of APEC in 2006 in Vietnam.
Article 2. Members of the Inter-Ministerial Working Group on APEC 2006 include:
- One leader from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs serving as the Head of the Group and three officials at the Department level from the Government Office, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Ministry of Commerce serving as Deputy Heads of the Group.
- Members of the Inter-Ministerial Working Group on APEC 2006 are officials at the Department level or equivalent from member ministries and agencies of the National Committee on International Economic Cooperation.
Members of the Inter-Ministerial Working Group on APEC 2006 will serve concurrently and may be replaced or supplemented with representatives from other ministries and agencies as needed to ensure the completion of tasks.
Article 3. The operational regulations of the Inter-Ministerial Working Group on APEC 2006 shall be decided by the Head of the Group based on consultations with the Deputy Heads of the Group and members of the Working Group.
Article 4. Funding for the activities of the Inter-Ministerial Working Group on APEC 2006 shall be provided from the state budget and included in the annual revenue and expenditure budget of each relevant ministry and agency.
Article 5. The Inter-Ministerial Working Group on APEC 2006 shall commence operations from the date this Decision takes effect and shall be dissolved when the National Committee of Vietnam on APEC 2006 is established.
Article 6. The Standard Measurement Quality Control Department shall be responsible for organizing and guiding the implementation of the Regulations adopted herein.
Article 7. Ministers, heads of ministerial-level agencies, and heads of government agencies are responsible for implementing this Decision.
