THE MINISTER OF AGRICULTURE AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT

Pursuant to Decree No. 86/2003/NĐ-CP dated July 18, 2003 of the Government on the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development;

Pursuant to Ordinance No. 15/2004/PL-UBTVQH11 dated March 24, 2004 of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly on Plant Varieties;

Pursuant to Decision No. 14/2005/QĐ-BNN dated March 15, 2005 of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development on the issuance of the List of Permitted Forest Tree Seedlings for Production and Business;

At the proposal of the Director of the Forestry Department; the Head of the Science and Technology Department;

DECISION:

Article 1. This Decision promulgates the "Supplementary List of Permitted Forest Tree Seedlings for Production and Business".

Article 2. This Decision shall take effect fifteen days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette.

Article 3. The Heads of the Office, the Director of the Forestry Department, the Head of the Science and Technology Department, the Directors of the Departments of Agriculture and Rural Development of provinces and centrally governed cities, and the Heads of related units are responsible for implementing this Decision./.

 

LIST

SUPPLEMENTARY LIST OF PERMITTED FOREST TREE SEEDLINGS FOR PRODUCTION AND BUSINESS
(Issued together with Decision No. 26/2007/QĐ-BNN dated April 9, 2007 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development)

1. Recognized varieties and seedlings from recognized seed orchards, nurseries, and mother tree gardens.

- Acacia varieties.

+ Natural hybrid acacia: BV33 variety (for widespread planting); BV71, BV73, and BV75 varieties (applicable to Ba Vi - Ha Tay, Yen Thanh - Nghe An, and similar ecological conditions); TB1, TB7, and TB11 varieties (applicable to Bau Bang - Binh Duong, and similar ecological conditions).

+ Artificial hybrid acacia: MA1 and MA2 varieties (applicable to Ba Vi - Ha Tay, Van Xuan - Phu Tho, and similar ecological conditions).

+ Melia azedarach: BVlt25, BVlt83, and BVlt84 varieties (applicable to Dong Ha - Quang Tri, Ba Vi - Ha Tay, and similar ecological conditions); Vlt85 variety (applicable to Dong Ha - Quang Tri, and similar ecological conditions).

- Eucalyptus varieties.

+ Eucalyptus urophylla: PN3d variety (for widespread planting); PN21, PN24, and PN108 varieties (applicable to Phu Nhinh - Phu Tho, and similar ecological conditions).

2. Varieties permitted for production and business but must have a minimum seed source from selected forest stands or recognized mother trees.
