THE MINISTER OF AGRICULTURE AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT
On the basis of the Food Safety Ordinance dated July 26, 2003; Decree No. 163/2004/NĐ-CP dated September 7, 2004 of the Government detailing the implementation of certain provisions of the Food Safety Ordinance;;
On the basis of Decree No. 01/2008/NĐ-CP dated January 3, 2008 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development;
On the basis of Decision No. 650/2000/QĐ-BTS dated August 4, 2000 of the Fisheries Department (now the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development) on the issuance of the Inspection and State Certification Regulation for the Quality of Aquatic Products;
In accordance with the proposal of the Director of the Directorate of Quality Assurance for Forestry, Agricultural, and Aquatic Products;
DECISION:
Article 1. Announces the list of specified inspection criteria for batches of aquatic products exported to markets requiring certificates, imported for processing, and batches of aquatic products produced for domestic consumption, including:
- The list of sensory/external criteria (Annex 1).
- The list of microbiological criteria (Annex 2).
- The list of chemical criteria (Annex 3).
Article 2. For batches of goods not within the scope regulated in Article 1 of this Decision, enterprises shall agree with the inspection authorities on the list of criteria to be inspected based on the requirements of the importing country and Vietnam.
Article 3. The Directorate of Quality Assurance for Forestry, Agricultural, and Aquatic Products is assigned to update and announce the list of specified inspection criteria to relevant units for implementation.
Article 4. This Decision takes effect from the date of signature;
Article 5. The Heads of the Office, Heads of Departments, Directors of Inspectorates of the Ministry, Provincial Departments of Agriculture and Rural Development, and aquatic product production and business establishments are responsible for implementing this Decision.
