PRIME MINISTER
Pursuant to the Government Organization Law dated September 30, 1992;
Pursuant to Notification No. 133/TP-TW dated April 29, 1998 of the Politburo on the development of the ten-year socio-economic strategy from 2001 to 2010;
Considering the proposal of the Minister of Science, Technology, and Environment at Circular No. 263/TTr-BKHCNMT dated January 29, 1999,
DECISION:
Article 1. Establish the Steering Committee for Building the "Vision to 2020".
Article 2. Entrust the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Environment to serve as the permanent agency to organize and implement the building of the "Vision to 2020". The members of the Steering Committee for Building the "Vision to 2020" include:
1. The Minister of Science, Technology, and Environment: Chairman,
2. Director of the National Social Sciences and Humanities Research Center: Deputy Chairman,
3. Vice Minister of Science, Technology, and Environment: Standing Member,
4. Members representing the following agencies:
- Ministry of Foreign Affairs: One person,
- Ministry of Education and Training: One person,
- Office of the Government: One person,
- National Social Sciences and Humanities Research Center: One person,
- National Natural Sciences and Technology Research Center: One person,
- Institute for Strategy and Development: One person,
- Central Committee's Department of Science and Technology: One person
The Chairman of the Steering Committee for Building the "Vision to 2020" shall be responsible for approving the specific list of committee members and any changes during the implementation of the program in consultation with the aforementioned agencies.
The funding for organizing and implementing the activities of the Steering Committee will be sourced from the budget for scientific and technological affairs.
Article 3This Decision takes effect from the date of signature.
