DECREE NO. 27/2000/NĐ-CP OF AUGUST 4, 2000 ISSUED BY THE GOVERNMENT ON THE ESTABLISHMENT OF VŨ QUANG DISTRICT UNDER HA TINH PROVINCE
THE GOVERNMENT
Pursuant to the Government Organization Law dated September 30, 1992;
Considering the proposal of the Chairman Within 10 working days from the date of receipt of the dossier as mentioned in Sub-clause b, Clause 1, Article 3 above, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will review and submit to the competent authority for decision (Issues exceeding the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' jurisdiction will be referred to the Prime Minister for consideration and decision).The People's Committee of Ha Tinh Province and the Minister, Head of the Civil Service Organization Department under the Government,
DECREE:
Article 1. Now adjust the administrative boundaries of Đức Thọ, Hương Khê, and Hương Sơn districts to establish Vũ Quang District under Ha Tinh Province as follows:
Establish Vũ Quang District based on the communes: Đức Liên, Đức Hương, Đức Bồng, Đức Lĩnh, Đức Giang, Ân Phú (from Đức Thọ District), Hương Thọ, Hương Minh, Hương Đại, Hương Điền, Vũ Quang (from Hương Khê District) and Sơn Thọ (from Hương Sơn District).
Vũ Quang District has an area of 62,284 hectares and a population of 35,877, comprising 12 administrative units which are the communes: Đức Liên, Đức Hương, Đức Bồng, Đức Lĩnh, Đức Giang, Ân Phú, Hương Thọ, Hương Minh, Hương Đại, Hương Điền, Vũ Quang, and Sơn Thọ.
Administrative boundary of Vũ Quang District: East borders Đức Thọ District; West borders the Lao People's Democratic Republic; South borders Hương Khê District; North borders Hương Sơn District.
After adjusting the administrative boundaries to establish Vũ Quang District:
Đức Thọ District has an area of 20,904 hectares and a population of 125,260, comprising 27 communes and 1 town;
Hương Khê District has an area of 124,178 hectares and a population of 102,721, comprising 20 communes and 2 towns;
Hương Sơn District has an area of 95,020 hectares and a population of 119,240, comprising 28 communes and 2 towns.
Article 2. This Decree takes effect from the date of signature. All previous regulations contrary to this Decree are abolished.
Article 3. The Chairman of the People's Committee of Ha Tinh Province, the Minister, Head of the Civil Service Organization Department under the Government, and the Heads of relevant agencies shall be responsible for implementing this Decree.
