DECREE

Regarding the establishment of communes under Muong Nhe district, Dien Bien province

THE GOVERNMENT

Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;

Considering the proposal of the Minister of Home Affairs and the People's Committee of Dien Bien province.

DECREE

Article 1. Now, the administrative boundaries are adjusted to establish communes under Muong Nhe district, Dien Bien province as follows:

1. Establishing Nà Khoa commune based on 12,691.49 hectares of natural area and 4,531 population from Nà Hỳ commune.

Nà Khoa commune has 12,691.49 hectares of natural area and 4,531 population.

Administrative boundary of Nà Khoa commune: East borders Chà Cang commune; West borders the Lao People's Democratic Republic; South borders Nà Hỳ and Nà Bủng communes; North borders Chà Cang and Quảng Lâm communes.

2. Establishing Nà Bủng commune based on 16,402.78 hectares of natural area and 5,072 population from Nà Hỳ commune.

Nà Bủng commune has 16,402.78 hectares of natural area and 5,072 population.

Administrative boundary of Nà Bủng commune: East, West, and South border the Lao People's Democratic Republic; North borders Nà Hỳ and Nà Khoa communes.

After adjusting the administrative boundaries to establish Nà Khoa and Nà Bủng communes, Nà Hỳ commune remains with 15,189.73 hectares of natural area and 3,981 population.

3. Establishing Pa Tần commune based on 16,670.93 hectares of natural area and 2,016 population from Chà Cang commune.

Pa Tần commune has 16,670.93 hectares of natural area and 2,016 population.

Administrative boundary of Pa Tần commune: East borders Muong Cha district; West borders Quảng Lâm commune; South borders Chà Cang commune; North borders Nậm Kè commune and Lai Chau province.

After adjusting the administrative boundaries to establish Pa Tần commune, Chà Cang commune remains with 19,549.07 hectares of natural area and 3,576 population.

4. Establishing Quảng Lâm commune based on 23,512.44 hectares of natural area and 3,093 population from Mường Toong commune.

Quảng Lâm commune has 23,512.44 hectares of natural area and 3,093 population.

Administrative boundary of Quảng Lâm commune: East borders Chà Cang and Pa Tần communes; West borders the Lao People's Democratic Republic; South borders Nà Khoa commune and the Lao People's Democratic Republic; North borders Nậm Kè commune.

5. Establishing Nậm Kè commune based on 22,313.78 hectares of natural area and 4,296 population from Mường Toong commune.

Nậm Kè commune has 22,313.78 hectares of natural area and 4,296 population.

Administrative boundary of Nậm Kè commune: East borders Pa Tần commune; West borders Mường Nhé commune and the Lao People's Democratic Republic; South borders Quảng Lâm commune; North borders Mường Toong commune and Lai Chau province.

After adjusting the administrative boundaries to establish Quảng Lâm and Nậm Kè communes, Mường Toong commune remains with 23,177.78 hectares of natural area and 3,599 population.

After adjusting the administrative boundaries to establish the aforementioned communes, Muong Nhe district has 11 commune-level administrative units including: Nà Hỳ, Nà Khoa, Nà Bủng, Chà Cang, Pa Tần, Mường Toong, Quảng Lâm, Nậm Kè, Sín Thầu, Chung Chải, and Mường Nhé.

Article 2. This Decree takes effect 15 days after its publication in the Official Gazette. All previous regulations that conflict with this Decree are hereby abolished.

Article 3. The Chairman of the People's Committee of Dien Bien province, the Minister of Home Affairs, and the heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree./.
