CIRCULAR
Amending and supplementing Circular No. 21/1998/TT-BTM dated December 24, 1998 guiding the implementation of
Regulations on Duty-Free Shops
Pursuant to Article 11 of the Regulations on duty-free shops issued together with Decision No. 205/1998/QĐ-TTg dated October 19, 1998 of the Prime Minister;
Pursuant to Circular No. 5739/YT-QLD dated August 23, 1999 of the Ministry of Health regarding cosmetics sold at duty-free shops;
The Ministry of Trade amends and supplements Circular No. 21/1998/TT-BTM dated December 24, 1998 of the Ministry of Trade guiding the implementation of regulations on duty-free shops as follows:
1. Amend Point 2.2 of Section II on goods sold at duty-free shops as follows:
Exported and imported goods subject to conditions, except for cosmetic products under the quality management list of the Ministry of Health.
2. Supplement Clause 4 of Section III as follows:
For cosmetic products under the quality management list of the Ministry of Health that have been imported for sale at duty-free shops, if permitted for domestic market consumption, they must register their quality with the Ministry of Health according to the regulations applicable to imported cosmetics for sale in the domestic market of Vietnam.
3. Other provisions of Circular No. 21/1998/TT-BTM dated December 24, 1998 of the Ministry of Trade remain valid and enforceable.
4. This Circular takes effect fifteen days from the date of signature.
