Regarding the establishment of towns under the districts of Thot Not, Om Mon, and Phung Hiep, Can Tho province
Decision on the establishment of towns under the districts of Thot Not, Om Mon, and Phung Hiep, Can Tho province as follows:
THE GOVERNMENT
Pursuant to the Government Organization Law dated September 30, 1992;
1. Establishing the town of Thanh An under the district of Thot Not based on 185.51 hectares of natural area and 3,000 population from the commune of Thanh Thang, and 1,595.1 hectares of natural area and 9,157 population from the commune of Thanh An.
DECREE:
Article 1. The town of Thanh An has 1,781.61 hectares of natural area and 12,157 population. The administrative boundary of the town of Thanh An: East borders the commune of Thanh An; West borders Kiên Giang province; South borders the commune of Thanh Phu; North borders the commune of Thanh Thang.
After adjusting the administrative boundaries to establish the town:
The commune of Thanh Thang has 6,626.48 hectares of natural area and 18,913 population.
The commune of Thanh An has 6,736.29 hectares of natural area and 16,566 population.
2. Establishing the town of Thoi Lai under the district of Om Mon based on 946.51 hectares of natural area and 10,183 population from the commune of Thoi Lai.
The town of Thoi Lai has 946.51 hectares of natural area and 10,183 population.
The administrative boundary of the town of Thoi Lai: East borders the communes of Thoi Thanh and Dinh Mon; West; South; North borders the commune of Thoi Lai.
After adjusting the administrative boundaries, the commune of Thoi Lai has 3,955.3 hectares of natural area and 14,630 population.
3. Establishing the town of Cay Duong under the district of Phung Hiep based on 1,512 hectares of natural area and 7,981 population from the commune of Hiep Hung.
The town of Cay Duong has 1,512 hectares of natural area and 7,981 population.
The administrative boundary of the town of Cay Duong: East; West and South borders the commune of Hiep Hung; North borders the commune of Hoa My.
After adjusting the administrative boundaries, the commune of Hiep Hung has 5,281 hectares of natural area and 17,121 population.
4. Establishing the town of Kinh Cung under the district of Phung Hiep based on 1,300 hectares of natural area and 10,288 population from the commune of Hoa An.
The town of Kinh Cung has 1,300 hectares of natural area and 10,288 population.
The administrative boundary of the town of Kinh Cung: East and South borders the commune of Hoa An; West borders Vi Thuỷ district; North borders the commune of Tan Binh.
After adjusting the administrative boundaries, the commune of Hoa An has 4,753 hectares of natural area and 17,512 population.
The Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho province, the Minister, Head of the Civil Service Department of the Government, and the heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree./.
After adjusting the administrative boundaries, Hoa An commune has 4,753 hectares of natural area and 17,512 inhabitants.
Article 2. This Decree takes effect from the date of signature. All previous regulations contrary to this Decree are abolished.
Article 3. The Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City, the Minister, Head of the Government Organization-Civil Service Agency, and the Heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree./.
