Decree No. 28/2006/NĐ-CP on adjusting population and administrative boundaries of some communes under Sa Thầy district, Dak Ha district, and Kon Tum city; establishing Hơ Moong commune under Sa Thầy district, Kon Tum province.

 DECREE

Regarding the adjustment of population for some communes under the districts of Sa Thầy, Dak Ha and

 Kon Tum city; the adjustment of administrative boundaries of Sa Nhon commune, establishment of Hom Moong commune

under Sa Thầy district, Kon Tum province

THE GOVERNMENT

Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;

Considering the proposal of the Minister of Interior and the People's Committee of Kon Tum province,

DECREE

Article 1. Now, the population of some communes under the districts of Sa Thầy, Dak Ha and Kon Tum city is adjusted; the administrative boundary of Sa Nhon commune is adjusted to establish Hom Moong commune under Sa Thầy district, Kon Tum province as follows:

1. Adjustment of population for some communes under the districts of Sa Thầy, Dak Ha and Kon Tum city - Adjusting 324 people from Sa Nghia commune under Sa Thầy district to be managed by Sa Nhon commune under Sa Thầy district. - Adjusting 2,635 people from Ha Mon commune under Dak Ha district to be managed by Sa Nhon commune under Sa Thầy district. - Adjusting 573 people from Kroong commune under Kon Tum city to be managed by Sa Nhon commune under Sa Thầy district.

2. Adjustment of administrative boundary of Sa Nhon commune to establish Hom Moong commune under Sa Thầy district, Kon Tum province Adjusting 6,523 hectares of natural area and 3,532 people from Sa Nhon commune to establish Hom Moong commune. - Hom Moong commune has 6,523 hectares of natural area and 3,532 people. The administrative boundary of Hom Moong commune: East borders Dak Ha district; West borders Sa Nhon commune, Sa Thầy district; South borders Sa Nghia commune, Sa Thầy district; North borders Dak To district. Sa Nhon commune retains 5,177 hectares of natural area and 2,461 people. The administrative boundary of Sa Nhon commune: East borders Hom Moong commune, Sa Thầy district; West borders Sa Son commune, Sa Thầy district; South borders Sa Nghia commune and Sa Thầy town; North borders Ro Koi commune. After adjusting the population of some communes under the districts of Sa Thầy, Dak Ha, Kon Tum city and adjusting the administrative boundary of Sa Nhon commune to establish Hom Moong commune under Sa Thầy district: - Sa Thầy district has 241,200 hectares of natural area and 35,741 people, including 11 subordinate administrative units comprising communes: Mo Rai, Ro Koi, Sa Nhon, Sa Son, Sa Nghia, Sa Binh, Ya Xier, Ya Ly, Ya Tang, Hom Moong and Sa Thầy town. Sa Nghia commune under Sa Thầy district has 3,750 hectares of natural area and 1,856 people. - Dak Ha district has 84,360 hectares of natural area and 54,349 people. Ha Mon commune under Dak Ha district has 3,565 hectares of natural area and 3,648 people. Kon Tum city has 41,989 hectares of natural area and 131,759 people. Kroong commune under Kon Tum city has 3,280 hectares of natural area and 4,397 people.

Article 2. This Decree takes effect fifteen days after its publication in the Official Gazette. All previous regulations contrary to this Decree are hereby abolished.

Article 3. The People's Committee of Kon Tum province, the Minister of Interior and the heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree./.
