Announcing the Determination of Rubber Tree as a Multi-Purpose Tree

THE MINISTER OF AGRICULTURE AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT
Decree No. 01/2008/NĐ-CP Article 1. Pursuant to Government Decree No. 03/2008/NĐ-CP dated January 3, 2008 on the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development;
Article 2. Pursuant to Notification No. 200/TB-VPCP dated August 8, 2008 of the Government Office regarding the conclusions of Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung at the meeting on implementing the rubber planting plan in the Central Highlands provinces and the results of reviewing the planning for three types of forests;
Article 3. Pursuant to the Minutes of the Science and Technology Council Meeting held on August 20, 2008, determining the role and value of the rubber tree according to Decision No. 2447/QD-BNN-KHCN of the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development;
Considering the proposal of the Director of the Science, Technology and Environment Department,
DECISION:
Article 1. Officially announce the rubber tree as a multi-purpose tree that can be used for both agricultural and forestry purposes.
Article 2. This Decision takes effect from the date of signature.
Article 3. The Director of the Ministry's Office, Heads of the Department of Science, Technology and Environment, Heads of agencies under the Ministry, and related agencies shall be responsible for implementing this decision.
