DECREE OF THE GOVERNMENT
Regarding the adjustment of administrative boundaries to establish commune Nui Sam, town
Chau Doc, market town Phu Hoa and change the name commune Phu Hoa to commune Phu Thuan,
district Thoai Son, province An Giang
THE GOVERNMENT
Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;
Considering the proposal of the Chairman of the People's Committee of An Giang Province and the Minister, Head of the Organization-Cadres Department of the Government,
DECREE:
Article 1. Now, the administrative boundaries are adjusted to establish commune Nui Sam under the town of Chau Doc, market town Phu Hoa, and change the name of commune Phu Hoa to commune Phu Thuan under the town of Chau Doc, district Thoai Son, province An Giang as follows:
1. Establish commune Nui Sam under the town of Chau Doc based on 1,397 hectares of natural area and 21,241 population of commune Vinh Te.
Administrative boundary of commune Nui Sam: East borders communes Chau Phu A, Chau Phu B; West borders commune Vinh Te; South borders communes Vinh Te, Vinh My; North borders communes Vinh Te, Vinh Nuon.
After establishing commune Nui Sam, commune Vinh Te will have 3,121 hectares of natural area and 5,172 population remaining.
2. Establish market town Phu Hoa under district Thoai Son based on 523 hectares of natural area and 9,033 population of commune Phu Hoa; 220 hectares of natural area and 2,056 population of commune Vinh Trach.
Market town Phu Hoa has 743 hectares of natural area and 11,089 population.
Administrative boundary of market town Phu Hoa: East borders city Long Xuyen; West borders commune Vinh Trach and district Chau Thanh; South borders communes Vinh Trach, Phu Thuan, Vinh Chanh; North borders district Chau Thanh and city Long Xuyen.
After adjusting the administrative boundaries to establish market town Phu Hoa:
- Commune Vinh Trach will have 1,881 hectares of natural area and 16,725 population remaining.
- Commune Phu Hoa will have 3,013 hectares of natural area and 9,816 population remaining.
3. Change the name of commune Phu Hoa to commune Phu Thuan, district Thoai Son.
Article 2. The Chairman of the People's Committee of Lam Dong Province, the Minister of Home Affairs, and the Heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree./.
Article 3. The Chairman of the People's Committee of An Giang Province, the Minister, Head of the Organization-Cadres Department of the Government, and the Heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree.
