Pursuant to Decree No. 34/2003/NĐ-CP dated April 4, 2003 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Transport;

Upon the proposal of the Director of the Vietnam Railway Administration and the Director of the Transport Department,

DECISION:

Article 1. Amend and supplement Point a Clause 2 Article 12 of the Regulations on Registration of Rail Transport Vehicles issued together with Decision No. 55/2005/QĐ-BGTVT dated October 18, 2005 of the Minister of Transport as follows:

"a) The first group (alphabetical group): consists of 2 to 3 uppercase letters indicating the type of specialized rail transport vehicle.

Rail car (including rail cars): GM;

Track tamping machine: MCĐ;

Rail laying machine: MĐR;

Track inspection car: GKT;

Flatcar: TXG;

If the specialized rail transport vehicle has a gauge of 1435mm, then after the alphabetical group, there shall be added the lowercase letter r."

Article 2. This Decision shall take effect fifteen days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette.

Article 3. The Heads of the Office, Inspectorate, Departments, Vietnam Railway Administration, Chairmen of the Management Councils, General Directors of Vietnam Railway Corporation, organizations, and individuals concerned are responsible for implementing this Decision.
