Pursuant to the Law on Organization The Government on June 19, 2015;

Pursuant to the Government Decree NUMBER 136/2013/NĐ-CP dated October 21, 2013 of the Government stipulating social assistance policies for beneficiaries of social assistance;The Prime Minister issues this decision regarding the adjustment of the allowance system

for volunteers who have completed their tasks during the resistance war.Adjusting the allowance for volunteers currently receiving monthly allowances under Decision No. 40/2011/QĐ-TTg dated July 27, 2011 of the Prime Minister on the treatment of volunteers who have completed their tasks during the resistance war from VND 360,000/month to VND 540,000/month starting from January 1, 2016.In cases where volunteers pass away from January 1, 2016 onwards but have not yet had their allowances adjusted according to this Decision, the organization responsible for funeral arrangements shall be entitled to claim the difference in allowance from January 1, 2016 until the month the volunteer passed away (VND 180,000/month).This Decision takes effect from August 20, 2016. Article 1. Adjust the monthly allowance for volunteers receiving monthly allowances under Decision No. 40/2011/QĐ-TTg dated July 27, 2011 of the Government Chairman regarding the treatment of volunteers who have completed their tasks during the resistance war from VND 360,000/month to VND 540,000/month starting from January 1, 2016.

In cases where volunteers pass away from January 1, 2016 onwards but have not yet had their allowances adjusted according to this Decision, the funeral organizer shall be entitled to claim the difference in allowance adjustment amount from January 1, 2016 until the month of the volunteer's death (VND 180,000/month).

Article 2. This Decision takes effect from August 20, 2016.

Article 3. Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Heads of government-affiliated agencies, Chairmen of provincial and centrally-administered city People's Committees, Heads of agencies, organizations, and individuals related to this matter are responsible for implementing this Decision./.
