ON THE REVISION OF THE ELECTION DATE FOR PEOPLE'S COUNCILS AT VARIOUS LEVELS IN PROVINCE-CITY AREAS, MUNICIPALITIES, TOWNS AND VILLAGES

THE STANDING COMMITTEE OF THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY OF THE SOCIALIST REPUBLIC OF VIET NAM,

Pursuant to Article 81 of the Constitution of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam;
Pursuant to Articles 32 and 34 of the Ordinance dated January 23, 1961 on the election of People's Councils at various levels;
At the proposal of the Council of Ministers;

RESOLVES:

The elections for People's Councils at various levels in province-city areas, municipalities, towns and villages (excluding municipalities, towns and villages under the Thai-Meo Autonomous Region, Lai Chau Province and Hoa Binh Province) originally scheduled for April 1961 will now be held from May 14 to June 30, 1961.

For People's Councils at village level in Dong Van District, Ha Giang Province, whose term expires in May 1961, the elections will take place in July 1961.
