Pursuant to Decree No. 127/2007/NĐ-CP dated August 1, 2007 of the Government detailing the implementation of certain provisions of the Law on Standards and Technical Regulations;
The announcement of conformity with mandatory standards issued before the effective date of the Law on Standards and Technical Regulations but not converted into corresponding national technical regulations within the time limit prescribed in Decree No. 127/2007/NĐ-CP dated August 1, 2007 of the Government detailing the implementation of certain provisions of the Law on Standards and Technical Regulations (hereinafter referred to as Decree No. 127/2007/NĐ-CP) shall be carried out as follows:
Considering the proposal of the Director General of the Standardization, Measurement, and Quality Control Department,
DECISION:
Article 1. 1. For products and goods that have made announcements of conformity with mandatory standards according to Decision No. 04/2006/QĐ-BKHCN dated January 10, 2006 of the Minister of Science and Technology on the issuance of "Provisions on the contents and procedures for announcing products and goods conforming to standards and technical regulations" prior to the effective date of this Decision, such announcements shall continue to be valid until the effective date of the corresponding national technical regulation issued within the time limit prescribed in Decree No. 127/2007/NĐ-CP.
2. For products and goods that make announcements of conformity with mandatory standards after the effective date of this Decision, the procedures, formalities, and registration of the announcement shall be carried out in accordance with the provisions of Decision No. 24/2007/QĐ-BKHCN dated September 28, 2007 of the Minister of Science and Technology on certification of compliance with standards, certification of compliance with regulations, and announcement of compliance with standards and regulations. The announcement under this provision shall be called "Announcement of Conformity with Mandatory Standards" and bear the CS stamp according to TCVN 5680:2000 until the effective date of the corresponding national technical regulation issued within the time limit prescribed in Decree No. 127/2007/NĐ-CP.
This Decision shall take effect fifteen days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette.
Article 2. The Director of the General Department of Standardization, Metrology, and Quality Control and the heads of relevant agencies, organizations, and individuals shall be responsible for implementing this Decision./.
