Decree No. 30/2008/NĐ-CP on adjusting the administrative boundaries of Nam Sach, Gia Loc, Tu Ky, Cam Giang districts to expand Haiphong City; establishing Tuthinh Ward and Viet Hoa Ward, and expanding the administrative boundary of Haian Ward under Haiphong City, Hai Duong Province.

DECREE

Regarding the adjustment of administrative boundaries of Nam Sach, Gia Loc, Tu Ky, Cam Giang districts to expand Haiphong City; establishment of Tuminh Ward and Viethoa Ward and expansion of Hai Tan Ward's administrative boundary under Haiphong City, Hai Duong Province

THE GOVERNMENT

Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;

Considering the proposal of the Minister of Interior and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Hai Duong Province,

DECREE:

Article 1. Adjusting the administrative boundaries of Nam Sach, Gia Loc, Tu Ky, Cam Giang districts to expand Haiphong City; establishing Tuminh Ward and Viethoa Ward and expanding Hai Tan Ward's administrative boundary under Haiphong City.

1. Adjusting the administrative boundaries of Nam Sach, Gia Loc, Tu Ky, Cam Giang districts to expand Haiphong City.

Adjusting 3,514.78 hectares of natural area and 41,369 population from Nam Sach, Gia Loc, Tu Ky, Cam Giang districts to be managed by Haiphong City (including: all 2,378.15 hectares of natural area and 25,138 population from Namdong, Aiquoc, Anchau, Thuongdat communes under Nam Sach district; all 1,033.73 hectares of natural area and 15,231 population from Thachkhoi, Tanhung communes under Gia Loc district; 63.92 hectares of natural area and 1,000 population from Ngocson commune under Tu Ky district; 38.98 hectares of natural area from Laicach town under Cam Giang district).

Haiphong City has 7,138.60 hectares of natural area and 187,405 population.

- After expanding Hai Tan Ward, Ngoc Son Commune remains with 483.32 hectares of natural area and 6,475 population.

3. After adjusting administrative boundaries to expand Haiphong City and establish wards under the city, the natural area, population, and directly subordinate administrative units of the city and districts are as follows:

a. Haiphong City has 7,138.60 hectares of natural area and 187,405 population, 19 directly subordinate administrative units, including wards: Thanhbinh, Ngocchau, Haitan, Quangtrung, Binhhan, Camthuong, Phamngulao, Lethanhnghi, Nguyentrai, Tranphu, Tranhungdao, Tuminh, Viethoa and communes: Namdong, Aiquoc, Anchau, Thuongdat, Thanhkhoi, Tanhung.

b. Nam Sach District retains 10,901.89 hectares of natural area and 118,040 population, with 19 directly subordinate administrative units, including communes: Namhung, Namtan, Hop tien, Thanquang, Quoctuan, Hiepcat, Namchinh, Namtrung, Ansong, Thai tan, Minta, Hongphong, Namhong, Conghoa, Phudien, Anlam, Anbinh, Donglac and Nam Sach Town.

c. Gia Loc District retains 11,181.37 hectares of natural area and 137,586 population, with 23 directly subordinate administrative units, including communes: Lianhon, Thongnhat, Trungkhanh, Yekieu, Giahoa, Leloi, Phuonghung, Toanthang, Duonthuong, Phamtran, Donguang, Quangminh, Nhattan, Duchuong, Honghung, Thongkenh, Hoangdieu, Gialuong, Giahank, Giatan, Tantien, Giaxuyen and Gia Loc Town.

d. Tu Ky District retains 17,002.75 hectares of natural area and 168,790 population, with 27 directly subordinate administrative units, including communes: Ngocson, Kyson, Daidong, Hungdao, Ngocky, Taison, Binhlang, Quangphuc, Tanky, Danchu, Quangnghiap, Daihop, Quangkhai, Minduc, Dongky, Tayky, Tuxuan, Vanto, Phuongky, Conglac, Anthanh, Quangtrung, Tien dong, Nguyeniap, Hathanh, Haky and Tu Ky Town.

đ. Cam Giang District retains 10,895.34 hectares of natural area and 121,935 population, with 19 directly subordinate administrative units, including communes: Camhung, Camhuong, Camvan, Ngocluyen, Thachloi, Camvu, Duchinh, Camson, Camdinh, Kimgiang, Luongdien, Caoan, Tantruong, Camphuc, Camdien, Camdong, Camdoi and Laicach Town, Camgianh Town.

Article 2. This Decree shall take effect 15 days after its publication in the Official Gazette. All previous regulations contrary to this Decree are hereby abolished.

Article 3. The Minister of Interior, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Hai Duong Province and the Heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree./.
