Pursuant to the Law on Government Organization dated June 19, 2015 and the Law amending and supplementing certain provisions of the Law on Government Organization dated November 22, 2019;

Pursuant to the Law on Local Administration Organization dated June 19, 2015 and the Law amending and supplementing certain provisions of the Law on Local Administration Organization dated November 22, 2019;

Pursuant to the Law on the Activities of Supervision by the National Assembly and People's Councils dated November 20, 2015;

Pursuant to Joint Resolution No. 525/2012/NQLT/UBTVQH13-ĐCTUBTWMITQVN dated September 27, 2012 of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly and the Central Steering Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front on the meetings with citizens by members of the National Assembly;

Pursuant to Decree No. 138/2016/NĐ-CP dated October 1, 2016 of the Government promulgating the Working Regulations of the Government;

Pursuant to Decree No. 123/2016/NĐ-CP dated September 1, 2016 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of Ministries and ministerial-level agencies;

Pursuant to Decree No. 150/2016/NĐ-CP dated November 11, 2016 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Government Office;

At the proposal of the Minister, Head of the Government Office;

The Prime Minister issues this Decision on amending and supplementing certain provisions of the Regulation on receiving, handling, and responding to citizens' petitions transferred by the National Assembly for issuance pursuant to Decision No. 33/2017/QĐ-TTg dated July 25, 2017.

Article 1. This Decision annexes the amended and supplemented Regulation on receiving, handling, and responding to citizens' petitions transferred by the National Assembly for issuance pursuant to Decision No. 33/2017/QĐ-TTg dated July 25, 2017.

Article 2. This Decision takes effect from October 1, 2020.

Article 3. Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Heads of government-attached agencies, Standing Members of Provincial People's Councils, Chairpersons of Provincial People's Committees directly under the central government shall be responsible for implementing this Decision./.

REGULATIONS

Amending and supplementing certain provisions of the Regulation on receiving, handling, and responding to citizens' petitions transferred by the National Assembly for issuance pursuant to Decision No. 33/2017/QĐ-TTg dated July 25, 2017 (Annexed to Decision No. 30/2020/QĐ-TTg dated September 28, 2020 of the Prime Minister)

Article 1. Amending and supplementing Clause 1 and Clause 2 of Article 12 of the Regulation on receiving, handling, and responding to citizens' petitions transferred by the National Assembly for issuance pursuant to Decision No. 33/2017/QĐ-TTg dated July 25, 2017 of the Prime Minister as follows:

"Within sixty days from the date of receipt of the citizen's petition, the competent agency, organization, or unit shall be responsible for studying, handling, and replying to the citizen; sending the reply to the local delegation of the National Assembly where the citizen made the petition and the agency or member of the National Assembly who forwarded the petition."

Article 2. Abolishing Article 14 and amending Article 15 to become Article 14./
