VRegarding the establishment of certain communes and wards under the city of Sơn La and the districts of Yên Châu, Mộc Châu, and Mai Sơn, province of Sơn La
and the districts of Yên Châu, Mộc Châu, Mai Sơn, province of Sơn La
THE GOVERNMENT
Pursuant to the Government Organization Law dated September 30, 1992;
Considering the proposal of the Chairman of the People's Committee of Sơn La Province and the Minister, Head of the Organization-Cadres Agency of the Government,
DECREE:
Article 1. Now, establish the wards Tô Hiệu, Quyết Tâm and the communes Yên Sơn, Đông Sang, Tà Lai, Liên Hòa, Phiêng Cằm, and Nà Ớt under the city of Sơn La and the districts of Yên Châu, Mộc Châu, Mai Sơn, province of Sơn La as follows:
1. Establish the ward Tô Hiệu under the city of Sơn La based on 179 hectares of natural area and 7,060 population from the ward Chiềng Lề.
Administrative boundaries of the ward Tô Hiệu: East borders the ward Quyết Thắng; West borders the commune Chiềng Cơi; South borders the commune Chiềng Cơi; North borders the ward Chiềng Lề.
After adjusting the administrative boundaries, the ward Chiềng Lề has 271 hectares of natural area and 7,833 population.
2. Establish the ward Quyết Tâm under the city of Sơn La based on 215 hectares of natural area and 5,063 population from the ward Quyết Thắng.
Administrative boundaries of the ward Quyết Tâm: East borders the communes Chiềng Cơi, Chiềng Sinh; West borders the communes Hua La, Chiềng Cơi; South borders the communes Chiềng Sinh and Hua La; North borders the ward Quyết Thắng.
After adjusting the administrative boundaries, the ward Quyết Thắng has 370 hectares of natural area and 8,500 population.
3. Establish the commune Yên Sơn under the district of Yên Châu based on 4,596.2 hectares of natural area and 3,038 population from the commune Chiềng On.
Administrative boundaries of the commune Yên Sơn: East borders the communes Chiềng Sàng, Chiềng Pằn, and Phiêng Khoài; West borders the commune Chiềng Lương (district of Mai Sơn); South borders the commune Chiềng On; North borders the communes Chiềng Sàng, Cò Nòi (district of Mai Sơn).
After adjusting the administrative boundaries, the commune Chiềng On has 6,428.8 hectares of natural area and 3,665 population.
4. Establish the commune Đông Sang under the district of Mộc Châu based on 4,289 hectares of natural area and 3,530 population from the commune Mường Sang.
Administrative boundaries of the commune Đông Sang: East borders the communes Phiêng Luông, Vân Hồ; West borders the commune Mường Sang; South borders the communes Xuân Nha, Lóng Sập; North borders the town Mộc Châu and the commune Mường Sang.
After adjusting the administrative boundaries, the commune Mường Sang has 9,098 hectares of natural area and 4,228 population.
5. Establish the commune Tà Lai under the district of Mộc Châu based on 2,730 hectares of natural area and 2,798 population from the commune Nà Mường.

6. Establish the commune Liên Hòa under the district of Mộc Châu based on 3,372 hectares of natural area and 2,713 population from the commune Song Khủa.

After adjusting the administrative boundaries, the commune Chiềng Nơi has 13,068.9 hectares of natural area and 3,861 population.
8. Establish the commune Nà Ớt under the district of Mai Sơn based on 10,650 hectares of natural area and 2,534 population from the commune Phiêng Pằn.
Administrative boundaries of the commune Nà Ớt: East borders the commune Phiêng Pằn; West borders the commune Phiêng Cằm; South borders the district of Sông Mã; North borders the communes Chiềng Kheo and Chiềng Ve.
After adjusting the administrative boundaries, the commune Phiêng Pằn has 10,950 hectares of natural area and 4,311 population.
Article 2. The Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province, the Minister, Head of the Civil Service Department of the Government, and the Heads of related agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree.
Article 3. The Chairman of the People's Committee of Sơn La Province, the Minister, Head of the Organization-Cadres Agency of the Government, and the Heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree.
