DECREE
Regarding the adjustment of administrative boundaries to establish communes under Thạnh Trị district, Sóc Trăng province

THE GOVERNMENT
Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;
Considering the proposal of the Minister of Home Affairs and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Sóc Trăng province.
DECREE:
Article 1. The administrative boundaries shall be adjusted to establish communes under Thạnh Trị district, Sóc Trăng province as follows:
1. Establishing Vĩnh Thành commune based on 2,562.47 hectares of natural area and 4,795 population from Vĩnh Lợi commune.
Administrative boundary of Vĩnh Thành commune: East borders Thạnh Trị and Thạnh Tân communes; West borders Mỹ Bình commune; South borders Vĩnh Lợi and Châu Hưng communes; North borders Tân Long commune.
After adjusting the administrative boundaries to establish Vĩnh Thành commune, Vĩnh Lợi commune will retain 2,263.74 hectares of natural area and 5,346 population.
2. Establishing Long Bình commune based on 2,963 hectares of natural area and 7,812 population from Tân Long commune.
Administrative boundary of Long Bình commune: East borders Tân Long commune; West borders Ngã Năm town and Vĩnh Biên commune; South borders Mỹ Bình commune; North borders Long Tân commune and Ngã Năm town.
After adjusting the administrative boundaries to establish Long Bình commune, Tân Long commune will retain 3,312.04 hectares of natural area and 6,278 population.
3. Establishing Mỹ Bình commune based on 2,107 hectares of natural area and 4,925 population from Mỹ Quới commune.
Administrative boundary of Mỹ Bình commune: East borders Vĩnh Thành and Vĩnh Lợi communes; West borders Vĩnh Biên and Mỹ Quới communes; South borders Mỹ Quới commune; North borders Vĩnh Biên and Long Bình communes.
After adjusting the administrative boundaries to establish Mỹ Bình commune, Mỹ Quới commune will retain 2,924.99 hectares of natural area and 8,014 population.
Article 2. This Decree shall take effect fifteen days after its publication in the Official Gazette. All previous provisions contrary to this Decree are hereby abolished.
Article 3. The Chairman of the People's Committee of Sóc Trăng province, the Minister of Home Affairs, and the Heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree. /
