Resolution No. 31/NQ-CP On adjusting administrative boundaries of some districts and cities in Hoa Binh Province

RESOLUTION

Regarding the adjustment of administrative boundaries of some districts and the city of Hoa Binh province

THE GOVERNMENT

Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;
Considering the proposal of the Minister of Interior and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Hoa Binh province,

RESOLUTION:

Article 1. The administrative boundaries of some districts and the city of Hoa Binh province shall be adjusted as follows:

1. Adjusting the entire 1,508.23 hectares of natural area and 6,315 population of Trung Minh commune under Ky Son district to the management of Hoa Binh city.

- Hoa Binh city has 14,819.75 hectares of natural area and 93,409 population; it has 15 subordinate administrative units, including 7 communes: Trung Minh, Yen Mong, Hoa Binh, Su Ngoi, Dan Chu, Thong Nhat, Thai Thinh and 8 wards: Dong Tien, Phuong Lam, Thai Binh, Cham Mat, Tan Thanh, Tan Thinh, Tan Hoa, Thinh Lang.

- The administrative boundary of Hoa Binh city: East borders Ky Son and Kim Boi districts of Hoa Binh province; West borders Da Bac district of Hoa Binh province; South borders Cao Phong district of Hoa Binh province; North borders Thanh Son district of Phu Tho province.

2. Adjusting the entire 2,306.34 hectares of natural area and 3,964 population of Yen Quang commune under Luan Son district to the management of Ky Son district.

- Ky Son district has 21,075.99 hectares of natural area and 34,681 population; it has 10 subordinate administrative units, including communes: Yen Quang, Dan Hoa, Mong Hoa, Phuc Tien, Dan Ha, Phu Minh, Hop Thinh, Hop Than, Doc Lap and Ky Son town.

- The administrative boundary of Ky Son district: East borders Luan Son district of Hoa Binh province and Thach That district of Hanoi city; West borders Hoa Binh city of Hoa Binh province and Thanh Son district of Phu Tho province; South borders Kim Boi district of Hoa Binh province; North borders Ba Vi and Thach That districts of Hanoi city.

3. Adjusting 10,607.07 hectares of natural area and 29,536 population of Kim Boi district (including the entire natural area and population of 7 communes: Tan Thanh, Cao Duong, Hop Chau, Cao Thang, Long Son, Thanh Luong, Hop Thanh) to the management of Luan Son district.

- Luan Son district has 36,985.41 hectares of natural area and 92,860 population; it has 20 subordinate administrative units, including communes: Cao Ram, Cu Yen, Hoa Son, Hop Hoa, Lam Son, Lien Son, Nhu Tran, Tan Vinh, Thanh Lap, Tien Son, Truong Son, Trung Son, Tan Thanh, Cao Duong, Hop Chau, Cao Thang, Long Son, Thanh Luong, Hop Thanh and Luan Son town.

- The administrative boundary of Luan Son district: East borders Chuong My and My Duc districts of Hanoi city; West borders Ky Son district of Hoa Binh province; South borders Kim Boi and Lac Thuy districts of Hoa Binh province; North borders Quoc Oai district of Hanoi city.

4. Adjusting 2,585.6 hectares of natural area and 7,250 population of Kim Boi district (including the entire natural area and population of Thanh Ha town and Thanh Nong commune) to the management of Lac Thuy district.

- Lac Thuy district has 31,995.11 hectares of natural area and 60,624 population; it has 15 subordinate administrative units, including communes: An Binh, An Lac, Co Nghia, Dong Mon, Dong Tam, Hung Thi, Khoan Du, Lac Long, Lien Hoa, Phu Lao, Phu Thanh, Yen Bong, Thanh Nong, Chi Ne town and Thanh Ha town.

- The administrative boundary of Lac Thuy district: East borders Kim Bang and Thanh Lien districts of Ha Nam province; West borders Yen Thuy and Kim Boi districts of Hoa Binh province; South borders Nho Quan and Gia Vien districts of Ninh Binh province; North borders Kim Boi and Luan Son districts of Hoa Binh province.

5. Adjusting the entire 4,351.68 hectares of natural area and 2,272 population of Tan Dan commune under Da Bac district to the management of Mai Chau district.

- Mai Chau district has 56,454.37 hectares of natural area and 55,663 population; it has 22 subordinate administrative units, including communes: Tan Dan, Cun Pheo, Bao La, Sam Khoe, Mai Hich, Van Mai, Mai Ha, Chieung Chau, Na Phon, Tan Thanh, Tong Dao, Dong Bang, Pa Co, Hang Kia, Tan Son, Pu Bin, Phuc San, Ba Khan, Thung Khe, Noong Luong, Tan Mai and Mai Chau town.

- The administrative boundary of Mai Chau district: East borders Tan Lac district of Hoa Binh province; West borders Muong Chau district of Son La province; South borders Quan Hoa district of Thanh Hoa province; North borders Muong Chau district of Son La province and Da Bac district of Hoa Binh province.

After adjusting the administrative boundaries:

Kim Boi district remains with 55,103.38 hectares of natural area and 114,015 population; it has 28 subordinate administrative units, including communes: Bac Son, Binh Son, Cuoi Ha, Dong Bai, Du Sang, Ha Bi, Hop Dong, Hop Kim, Hung Tien, Kim Binh, Kim Boi, Kim Son, Kim Tien, Kim Truy, Lap Chieung, Mi Hoa, Nam Thang, Nat Son, Nuong Dam, Sao Bay, Son Thu, Thang Bi, Thang Tien, Trung Bi, Tu Son, Vinh Dong, Vinh Tien and Bo town.

Article 2. This Resolution takes effect from the date of its promulgation.

Article 3. Da Bac district remains with 77,903.86 hectares of natural area and 52,381 population; it has 20 subordinate administrative units, including communes: Cao Son, Dong Ket, Dong Chum, Dong Nhe, Dong Ruong, Gap Dat, Hao Ly, Hien Luong, Muong Chieung, Muong Tong, Suoi Nanh, Tan Minh, Tan Pheo, Tien Phong, Toan Son, Trung Thanh, Tu Ly, Va Nua, Yen Hoa and Da Bac town.
