This Decision stipulates the reporting of foreign currency receipts and payments on a daily basis by authorized banks with a value of US$50,000 or more. Banks must report the data to the State Bank before 10:00 AM of the following trading day.

DATE OF SEPTEMBER 29, 1998 ON THE MATTER OF DAILY REPORTING OF FOREIGN EXCHANGE INCOME AND EXPENSES

GOVERNOR OF THE STATE BANK OF VIETNAM

Pursuant to Decree No. 63/1998-NĐ-CP dated August 17, 1998 of the Government on foreign exchange management;

Pursuant to Decree No. 15/CP dated March 2, 1993 of the Government on the tasks, powers, and responsibilities for state management of ministries and ministerial-level agencies;

At the proposal of the Head of the Foreign Exchange Management Department,

DECISION:

Article 1. The Governors (Directors) of permitted banks shall be responsible for reporting to the State Bank about foreign currency transactions with a value of US$50,000 (fifty thousand dollars) or more that occur daily from customers who are organizations or individuals (including transfers of foreign currency from accounts opened at the bank to accounts opened at other banks of the customer).

Article 2. Data reported in accordance with Article 1 must be submitted to the State Bank (Department of Foreign Exchange Management) no later than 10 o'clock on the following trading day.

Article 3. The Governors (Directors) of permitted banks shall be responsible for compiling data within their system to implement the reporting regime as stipulated in this Decision.

Article 4. This Decision takes effect from the date of signature.

The Head of the Governor's Office, Heads of Departments and Directorates of the Central State Bank, and the Governors (Directors) of permitted banks shall be responsible for enforcing this Decision.
