THE MINISTER OF INDUSTRY

Pursuant to Decree No. 74/CP dated November 1, 1995 of the Government on the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Industry;

Pursuant to Decree No. 50/CP dated August 28, 1996 of the Government on the establishment, restructuring, dissolution, and bankruptcy of state-owned enterprises;

Considering the proposal of the General Corporation of Mechanical Engineering for Energy and Mining at Document No. 144 CV/TCCB-LD dated March 29, 2000;

At the suggestion of the Director of the Department of Organization and Cadres, 

DECISION:

Article 1. Renaming the Institute of Energy and Mining Machine Design to the Institute of Mechanical Engineering for Energy and Mining, a member unit of the General Corporation of Mechanical Engineering for Energy and Mining.

The Institute of Mechanical Engineering for Energy and Mining (hereinafter referred to as the Institute) is a self-financing public service entity with legal personality, seal, bank account, and banking credit relations with state banks and treasuries.

- International trade name: Institute of Energetical and Mining Machines, abbreviated as: IEMM.

- Main office location: No. 565 Nguyen Trai Street, Thanh Xuan District, Hanoi City.

- Production and experimental base located in Trung Van Commune, Tu Liem District, Hanoi City.

- Retail store and product showroom, material and equipment sales services located at No. 176 Nguyen Trai Street, Thanh Xuan District, Hanoi City.

Article 2. Main business activities of the Institute:

- Research, design, manufacture, repair, and restoration of mechanical, electrical equipment, parts, and accessories serving the Energy and Mining industries and other economic sectors;

- Research, design, organize training, and application of electronic information technology products and automation control devices for technological equipment;

- Design, manufacture, repair, restoration, and establish standards for explosive safety equipment testing and inspection;

- Scientific cooperation with domestic and foreign organizations to implement research and technology transfer programs in mechanical engineering;

- Participate in developing plans for mechanical industry development in the Energy and Mining sectors;

- Participate in establishing databases, industry and national standards, economic and technical norms in the mechanical industry;

- Prepare feasibility reports and provide investment consulting services for mechanical construction projects;

- Act as a supplier of products, technical services, and equipment.

Article 3. The Director of the Institute of Mechanical Engineering for Energy and Mining is responsible for organizing and implementing the Charter of the Institute's organization and operation, approved by the Board of Directors of the General Corporation of Mechanical Engineering for Energy and Mining, and other relevant laws.

Article 4. This Decision shall take effect fifteen days from the date of signature. Abolish provisions contrary to this Decision in Decision No. 616 NL/TCCB-LD dated October 30, 1995 issued by the Minister of Energy (previously).

Article 5. The Head of the Ministry’s Office, the Inspector General of the Ministry, Heads of Departments and Bureaus under the Ministry, Chairman of the Board of Directors, General Director of the General Corporation of Mechanical Engineering for Energy and Mining, Director of the Institute of Energy and Mining Machine Design, Director of the Institute of Mechanical Engineering for Energy and Mining are responsible for enforcing this Decision./.
