PRIME MINISTER

Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;

Pursuant to the opinion of the Politburo at the notification No. 131/TB-TW dated November 7, 1995;

Pursuant to the Decree No. 62/2001/NĐ-CP dated September 12, 2001 of the Government on the issuance of the Rules on funeral organization for state officials, civil servants, and public employees upon death;

At the proposal of the Minister of National Defense,

Article 1. Now, House of Funerals No. 5 Tran Thanh Tong Street, Hanoi shall be used for:

1. Organizing State Funeral ceremonies;

2. Organizing National Funeral ceremonies;

3. Organizing funerals for the subjects specified in the attached annex.

Article 2

1. House of Funerals No. 5 Tran Thanh Tong Street, Hanoi shall be managed by the Ministry of National Defense;

2. Outside the time for organizing funerals as stipulated in Article 1 of this Decision, House of Funerals No. 5 Tran Thanh Tong may be used to organize funerals for military officers and soldiers who die or pass away at Central Military Hospital 108.

Article 3. The Ministry of National Defense shall be responsible for:

1. Issuing the Rules on the use of the House of Funerals and specific procedures and rituals to ensure the organization of funerals in accordance with regulations, ensuring solemnity and economy;

2. Specifying the functions, tasks, and organizational structure of the Management Board of the House of Funerals.

Article 4. Maintenance, repair, purchase of equipment, and means to serve the House of Funerals shall be budgeted in the annual regular budget of the Ministry of National Defense.

Article 5. THIS DECISION SHALL TAKE EFFECT 15 DAYS AFTER THE DATE OF SIGNATURE.

Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Heads of governmental agencies, Chairpersons of People's Committees of provinces and centrally governed cities, and Heads of related agencies shall be responsible for implementing this Decision.
