RESOLUTION
Regarding the establishment of Bến Tre City under Bến Tre Province

THE GOVERNMENT
Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;
Considering the proposal of the Minister of Home Affairs and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Bến Tre Province,
RESOLUTION:
Article 1. Establish Bến Tre City under Bến Tre Province based on the entire natural area, population, and administrative units directly subordinate to Bến Tre Town.
Bến Tre City has a natural area of 6,742.11 hectares and a population of 143,639, with 16 communes at the grassroots level, including wards 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, Phú Khương, Phú Tân, and communes Sơn Đông, Bình Phú, Phú Hưng, Mỹ Thạnh An, Nhơn Thạnh, Phú Nhuận. The administrative boundary of Bến Tre City: North borders Châu Thành District; East and South border Giồng Trôm District; West borders Hàm Luông River.
Article 2. This Resolution takes effect from the date of issuance.
Article 3. The Minister of Home Affairs, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Bến Tre Province, and the heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Resolution./.
