DECISION
Regarding the merger of the Steel General Corporation and the Metal General Corporation
under the Heavy Industry Ministry
PRIME MINISTER
Pursuant to the Government Organization Law dated September 30, 1992;
Considering the proposal of the Heavy Industry Ministry in Circular No. 1611-TCCBĐT dated June 30, 1994,

Article 1. Now, the Steel General Corporation and the Metal General Corporation under the Heavy Industry Ministry shall be merged into the Vietnam Steel General Corporation.
Article 2. The Minister of the Heavy Industry Ministry shall promptly direct the merger mentioned in Article 1 on the principle of ensuring that state assets are not lost and that the normal operations of these units are not hindered during the merger process.
Article 3. After the merger, the Heavy Industry Ministry shall proceed with the procedures to re-establish the Vietnam Steel General Corporation in accordance with Decree No. 388-HĐBT dated November 20, 1991 of the Council of Ministers (now the Government) and Decision No. 90-TTg dated March 7, 1994 of the Prime Minister.
Article 4. The Minister of the Heavy Industry Ministry shall temporarily appoint the General Director of the Vietnam Steel General Corporation to manage the corporation's affairs until it is re-established according to current regulations.
Article 5. The Minister of the Heavy Industry Ministry and the Ministers of relevant ministries, heads of agencies equivalent to ministries, and government-affiliated agencies shall be responsible for implementing this Decision./.
