Regarding the issuance of Guidelines for Diagnosis and Emergency Management of Five Obstetric Complications

 THE MINISTER OF HEALTH

- Pursuant to Decree No. 68/CP dated October 11, 1993 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Health.

- Based on the proposal of the Director of the Treatment Department, the Director of the Department of Maternal and Child Health Care and Family Planning - Ministry of Health.

Article 1. Now hereby issuing with this Decision "Guidelines for Emergency Management of Five Obstetric Complications":

1) Guidelines for diagnosis and emergency management of threatened and ruptured uterus.

2) Guidelines for diagnosis and emergency management of postpartum hemorrhage during placental separation.

3) Guidelines for diagnosis and emergency management of postpartum infection.

4) Guidelines for diagnosis and emergency management of eclampsia.

5) Guidelines for diagnosis and emergency management of neonatal tetanus.

Article 2. The "Guidelines for Diagnosis and Emergency Management of Five Obstetric Complications" shall be applied in all state, private, semi-public, and self-established healthcare facilities, including those with foreign investment.

Article 3. This Decision takes effect fifteen days from the date of issuance. All previous regulations that conflict with the provisions of this Decision are hereby abolished.

Article 4. The Permanent Secretaries, Inspectors General, Directors of Departments, Directors of Institutes, Heads of Units under the Ministry of Health, Directors of Vietnamese Drug Administration, Directors of hospitals, Institute Directors under the Ministry of Health, Directors of Provincial Health Services, Directors of Maternal and Child Health Care and Family Planning Centers at provincial level cities directly under the central government, and Heads of health sectors are responsible for implementing this Decision.
