CIRCULAR

Regarding the recognition of new livestock breeds and their inclusion in

"Supplementary List of Livestock Breeds Permitted for Production and Trade in Vietnam"

Pursuant to Decree No. 01/2008/ND-CP dated January 3, 2008 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, authorities, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development; Decree No. 75/2009/ND-CP dated September 10, 2009 of the Government amending Article 3 of Decree No. 01/2008/ND-CP dated January 3, 2013;

Pursuant to the Livestock Breed Law No. 16/2004/PL-UBTVQH11 dated March 24, 2004 of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly;

At the proposal of the Director of the Livestock Production Department;

The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development issues this Circular on the recognition of new livestock breeds and their inclusion in "Supplementary List of Livestock Breeds Permitted for Production and Trade in Vietnam",

Article 1. Recognition of new livestock breeds and their inclusion in "Supplementary List of Livestock Breeds Permitted for Production and Trade in Vietnam":

Vietnamese name: Black Velvet Guinea Pig (scientific name: Cavia porcellus).

Article 2. This Circular takes effect from September 8, 2013.

Article 3. The Director of the Ministry's Office, the Directors of the Livestock Production Department, the Animal Health Department, the Science, Technology, and Environment Department, the Directors of Provincial Departments of Agriculture and Rural Development under the central cities and provinces, the Heads of units under the Ministry, and related organizations and individuals are responsible for implementing this Circular./.
