Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;
Considering the proposal of the Minister of Home Affairs and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Duong province,
RESOLUTION:
Article 1. Adjusting the administrative boundaries of Ben Cat district and Tan Uyen district to expand the administrative boundary of Thu Dau Mot town; establishing wards under Thu Dau Mot town; establishing Thai Hoa township under Tan Uyen district, Binh Duong province as follows:
1. Adjusting the administrative boundaries of Ben Cat district and Tan Uyen district to expand the administrative boundary of Thu Dau Mot town.
Expanding the administrative boundary of Thu Dau Mot town in Binh Duong province based on adjusting 2,014.40 hectares of natural area and 5,338 population from Tan Uyen district (including: 989 hectares of natural area and 3,469 population from Phu Chanh commune; 229.63 hectares of natural area and 452 population from Tan Hiep commune; 795.77 hectares of natural area and 1,417 population from Tan Vinh Hiep commune); 1,079.15 hectares of natural area and 1,487 population from Hoa Loi commune in Ben Cat district; 4,700 population from the industrial-service-residential complex.
Thu Dau Mot town has 11,881.20 hectares of natural area and 211,068 population.
The administrative boundary of Thu Dau Mot town: East borders Tan Uyen district and Thu An district; West borders Ho Chi Minh City; South borders Thu An district; North borders Ben Cat district and Tan Uyen district.
2. Establishing wards under Thu Dau Mot town
a) Establishing Hoa Phu ward under Thu Dau Mot town based on adjusting 1,079.15 hectares of natural area and 1,487 population from Hoa Loi commune (the part of Hoa Loi commune in Ben Cat district adjusted to Thu Dau Mot town); 785.10 hectares of natural area and 3,469 population from Phu Chanh commune (the part of Phu Chanh commune in Tan Uyen district adjusted to Thu Dau Mot town); 634.50 hectares of natural area and 196 population from Dinh Hoa ward; 350 hectares of natural area and 250 population from Phu My ward; 1,500 population from the industrial-service-residential complex.
Hoa Phu ward has 2,848.75 hectares of natural area and 6,902 population.
The administrative boundary of Hoa Phu ward: East borders Phu Chanh commune, Vinh Tan commune, Tan Uyen district, Phu Tan ward, and Phu My ward under Thu Dau Mot town; West borders Dinh Hoa ward, Thu Dau Mot town, and Hoa Loi commune in Ben Cat district; South borders Phu My ward, Thu Dau Mot town; North borders Hoa Loi commune in Ben Cat district.
b) Establishing Phu Tan ward under Thu Dau Mot town based on adjusting 310.30 hectares of natural area and 551 population from Phu My ward; 203.90 hectares of natural area from Phu Chanh commune (the remaining part of Phu Chanh commune in Tan Uyen district adjusted to Thu Dau Mot town); 795.77 hectares of natural area and 1,417 population from Tan Vinh Hiep commune (the part of Tan Vinh Hiep commune in Tan Uyen district adjusted to Thu Dau Mot town); 229.63 hectares of natural area and 452 population from Tan Hiep commune (the part of Tan Hiep commune in Tan Uyen district adjusted to Thu Dau Mot town); 3,200 population from the industrial-service-residential complex.
Phu Tan ward has 1,539.60 hectares of natural area and 5,620 population.

- Dinh Hoa ward remains with 792.99 hectares of natural area and 12,151 population.
Thu Dau Mot town has 11,881.20 hectares of natural area and 211,068 population, with 14 subordinate administrative units including wards: Phu My, Dinh Hoa, Hiep An, Phu Cuong, Hiep Thanh, Chanh Nghia, Hoa Phu, Phu Tho, Phu Lio, Phu Hoa, Phu Tan, and communes: Phu My, Tang Binh Hiep, Tan An.
- Phu Chanh commune remains with 729 hectares of natural area and 3,525 population.
- Tan Hiep commune remains with 2,599.37 hectares of natural area and 8,062 population.
- Tan Vinh Hiep commune remains with 935.23 hectares of natural area and 10,118 population.
Tan Uyen district remains with 59,329.6 hectares of natural area and 157,187 population, with 22 subordinate administrative units including communes: Tan Binh, Vinh Tan, Phu Chanh, Tan Vinh Hiep, Khanh Binh, Thanh Phuoc, Bach Dang, Tan My, Thuong Tan, Lac An, Tan Thanh, Tan Lap, Tan Ding, Hoi Nghia, Binh My, Hieu Lien, Dat Cuoc, Tan Hiep, Thanh Hoi, and market towns: Uyen Hung, Tan Phuoc Khanh, Thai Hoa.
- Hoa Loi commune remains with 1,762.85 hectares of natural area and 12,616 population.

Article 2. This Resolution takes effect from the date of its promulgation.
