Decree-Law No. 37/SL On the Subordination of the Hanoi Resistance Administration Committee to the Central Government

NO. 37/SL OF MAY 11, 1949

THE PRESIDENT OF THE DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF VIETNAM

Pursuant to Decree-Laws No. 254/SL and No. 255/SL dated November 19, 1948 on the organization of people's administration during the resistance period;

Pursuant to Decree-Law No. 265/SL dated December 10, 1948 on the establishment of the Hanoi Resistance Administrative Committee;

Considering the current situation;

At the proposal of the Supreme National Defense Council;

In accordance with the resolution of the Government Council after consultation with the Standing Committee of the National Assembly;

ISSUES THE FOLLOWING DECREE-LAW:

Article 1

The Decree-Law No. 265/SL dated December 10, 1948 is hereby repealed.

Article 2

The Hanoi Resistance Administrative Committee shall now be directly under the Central Government.

Article 3

The powers, duties, composition of the Hanoi Resistance Committee, and the organization of specialized departments as well as the coordination between the Hanoi Resistance Administrative Committee and the Resistance Administrative Committee of Region 3 will be determined by the Supreme National Defense Council.

Article 4

The Supreme National Defense Council shall implement this Decree-Law.
