DECREE

Regarding the establishment of communes and towns under Son Tay, Duc Pho,

Ba To and Tra Bong districts, Quang Ngai province

THE GOVERNMENT

Pursuant to the Government Organization Law dated September 30, 1992;

Considering the proposal of the Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province and the Minister - Head of the Organization - Civil Service Agency of the Government,

DECREE:

Article 1. Adjusting administrative boundaries to establish communes and towns under Son Tay, Duc Pho, Ba To and Tra Bong districts, Quang Ngai province as follows:

1. Establishing Son Bua commune under Son Tay district based on 4,739 hectares of natural area and 1,017 population of Son Mua commune.

Administrative boundary of Son Bua commune: East and South border Son Mua commune; West borders Tra My district; North borders Tra Bong district.

After adjusting administrative boundaries, Son Mua commune has 7,397 hectares of natural area and 3,002 population.

2. Establishing Son Lap commune under Son Tay district based on 5,347 hectares of natural area and 1,012 population of Son Tinh commune.

Administrative boundary of Son Lap commune: East and South border Son Ha district; West borders Kon Tum province; North borders Son Dung and Son Tinh communes.

After adjusting administrative boundaries, Son Tinh commune has 4,439 hectares of natural area and 1,648 population.

3. Establishing Phuoc Chau commune under Duc Pho district based on 1,985 hectares of natural area and 4,675 population of Phuoc Thanh commune.

Administrative boundary of Phuoc Chau commune: East borders the East Sea; West and South borders Binh Dinh province; North borders Phuoc Thanh commune.

After adjusting administrative boundaries, Phuoc Thanh commune has 2,973 hectares of natural area and 19,273 population.

4. Establishing Ba Kham commune under Ba To district based on 5,150 hectares of natural area and 1,247 population of Ba Trang commune.

Administrative boundary of Ba Kham commune: East and North borders Duc Pho district; West borders Ba Lien commune; South borders Ba Trang commune.

After adjusting administrative boundaries, Ba Trang commune has 14,784 hectares of natural area and 1,827 population.

5. Establishing Tra Xuan town, the district capital, under Tra Bong district based on the entire area and population of Tra Xuan commune.

Tra Xuan town has 609 hectares of natural area and 6,586 population.

Administrative boundary of Tra Xuan town: East borders Tra Phu commune; West and South borders Tra Son commune; North borders Tra Thuy commune.

Article 2. This Decree takes effect 15 days from the date of issuance. All previous regulations contrary to this Decree are abolished.

Article 3. The Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province, the Minister, Head of the Organization - Civil Service Agency of the Government, and heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree.
