Article 1. ATTACHED TO THIS DECISION IS THE LIST OF THE VIETNAM PRODUCT SECTOR SYSTEM COMPRISING SEVEN LEVELS:
- LEVEL 1 CONSISTS OF 21 PRODUCT SECTORS CODED ALPHABETICALLY FROM A TO U;
- LEVEL 2 CONSISTS OF 88 PRODUCT SECTORS; EACH SECTOR IS CODED WITH TWO NUMBERS ACCORDING TO THE RESPECTIVE LEVEL 1 SECTOR;
- LEVEL 3 CONSISTS OF 234 PRODUCT SECTORS; EACH SECTOR IS CODED WITH THREE NUMBERS ACCORDING TO THE RESPECTIVE LEVEL 2 SECTOR;
- LEVEL 4 CONSISTS OF 411 PRODUCT SECTORS; EACH SECTOR IS CODED WITH FOUR NUMBERS ACCORDING TO THE RESPECTIVE LEVEL 3 SECTOR;
- LEVEL 5 CONSISTS OF 587 PRODUCT SECTORS; EACH SECTOR IS CODED WITH FIVE NUMBERS ACCORDING TO THE RESPECTIVE LEVEL 4 SECTOR;
- LEVEL 6 CONSISTS OF 1406 PRODUCT SECTORS; EACH SECTOR IS CODED WITH SIX NUMBERS ACCORDING TO THE RESPECTIVE LEVEL 5 SECTOR;
- LEVEL 7 CONSISTS OF 2898 PRODUCT SECTORS; EACH SECTOR IS CODED WITH SEVEN NUMBERS ACCORDING TO THE RESPECTIVE LEVEL 6 SECTOR;
Article 2. DIRECT THE MINISTER OF PLANNING AND INVESTMENT TO ISSUE A CIRCULAR EXPLAINING THE CONTENT OF THE VIETNAM PRODUCT SECTOR SYSTEM BASED ON THIS DECISION.
Article 3. THIS DECISION SHALL TAKE EFFECT FROM JULY 1, 2010. ABOLISH THE DECISION NO. 582/TCTK-PPCD DATED DECEMBER 2, 1996 OF THE GENERAL STATISTICS COUNCIL DIRECTOR ISSUING THE MAIN PRODUCT CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM.
Article 4. The Minister, Heads of Ministries equivalent to Ministries, Heads of agencies under the Government, Chairpersons of People's Committees of provinces and centrally governed cities are responsible for implementing this Decision./.
