DECREE
Regarding the establishment of the General Sports Administration
THE GOVERNMENT
Pursuant to the Government Organization Law dated September 30, 1992;
Pursuant to the Government's Resolution at the meeting on October 17, 1992;
DECREE:
Article 1.- The General Sports Administration is hereby established.
The General Sports Administration is a governmental agency responsible for state management of sports throughout the country.
Article 2.- The Director of the General Sports Administration shall consult with the Minister and the Head of the Government's Organization and Cadre Affairs Board to submit to the Prime Minister for approval a draft decree of the Government stipulating the tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the General Sports Administration.
Article 3.- The General Sports Administration shall commence operations from November 1, 1992.
The Minister of Culture and Information shall transfer the responsibilities, organizational structure, and personnel engaged in state management of sports, as well as economic units and public service units related to sports, to the General Sports Administration for management.
Article 4.- The Director of the General Sports Administration, the Minister of Culture and Information, and the Minister and Head of the Government's Organization and Cadre Affairs Board are responsible for implementing this Decree./.
