DECISION
ON THE ADOPTION OF THE DETAILED CURRICULUM FOR THE COURSE "HISTORY OF THE VIETNAMESE COMMUNIST PARTY" AT UNIVERSITY LEVEL TO BE USED IN UNIVERSITIES AND COLLEGES
MINISTER OF EDUCATION AND TRAINING
Pursuant to Decree No.86/2002/NĐ-CPdated November 5, 2002 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of Ministries and ministerial-level agencies;
Pursuant to Decree No.85/2003/NĐ-CPdated July 18, 2003 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Ministry of Education and Training;
Pursuant to Decision No.494/QĐ-TTgdated June 24, 2002 of the Prime Minister approving the project: "Some measures to improve the quality and effectiveness of teaching and learning courses on Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh's thought in universities and colleges; Political Education course in secondary vocational schools";
Pursuant to Circular No.1011/CV-KGTWdated July 2, 2003 of the Central Committee for Science and Technology and Circular No.3337/CV-TTVHdated July 15, 2003 of the Central Committee for Ideology and Culture regarding the review of the detailed curriculum for the course "History of the Vietnamese Communist Party" at university level in non-specialist history departments;
Upon the proposal of the Director of the Department of Student Affairs; the Director of the Department of Higher Education,
DECIDES:
Article 1.To adopt the detailed curriculum for the course "History of the Vietnamese Communist Party" at university level to be used in universities, academies and colleges as attached hereto.
Article 2.This Decision takes effect fifteen days from its publication in the Official Gazette and replaces Decision No. 2054/QĐ-CT-HS dated August 31, 1991 of the Minister of Education and Training on the adoption of the curriculum for the course "History of the Vietnamese Communist Party" used in universities and colleges, to be implemented from the academic year 2003 - 2004.
Article 3.The Director of the Department of Student Affairs is responsible for organizing the compilation and review of the textbook for the course "History of the Vietnamese Communist Party" at university level; guiding its implementation after it has been reviewed by the Central Committee for Science and Technology and the Central Committee for Ideology and Culture.
Article 4. The Director of the Office, the Heads of the Department for Student Affairs, the Department for Higher Education and Postgraduate Studies, the heads of relevant units under the Ministry of Education and Training, the Rectors of universities and academies, and the Principals of university-level institutions shall be responsible for implementing this Decision.
