THE MINISTER OF HEALTH

Pursuant to the Medicine Law No. 34/2005/QH11 dated June 14, 2005;

 Pursuant to Decree No. 49/2003/NĐ-CP dated May 15, 2003, of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Health;

Pursuant to Decree No. 12/2006/NĐ-CP dated January 23, 2006, of the Government detailing the implementation of the Law on Trade regarding international trade activities and foreign trade agency buying, selling, processing, and transiting goods;

Pursuant to Decree No. 79/2006/NĐ-CP dated August 9, 2006 of the Government detailing the implementation of certain provisions of the Medicine Law;

Pursuant to Circular No. 2126/TTg-KTTH dated December 25, 2006, of the Prime Minister on the management of the importation of medicines for disease prevention and treatment;

At the proposal of the Director of the Vietnam Drug Administration Bureau,

DECISION:

Article 1. The validity period of Decision No. 17/2006/QĐ-BYT dated May 19, 2006, issued by the Minister of Health on Temporary Provisions on the Importation of Finished Medicines Without Registration Numbers is extended until the effective date of the Prime Minister's Decision guiding the implementation of the Medicine Law on the importation of medicines without registration numbers.

Article 2. The Standard Measurement Quality Control Department shall be responsible for organizing and guiding the implementation of the Regulations adopted herein.

Article 3. The Officials: Chief of the Office, Chief Inspector, Director of the Vietnam Drug Administration Bureau, Head of the Traditional Medicine Department, Directors of Provincial Health Services under Central Cities, Heads of Health Departments in sectors, and pharmaceutical import and export enterprises are responsible for implementing this Decision./.
