Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;
Article 1. Adjustment of administrative boundaries of communes to establish communes under Que Son district, Phuoc Son district; adjustment of administrative boundaries of Que Son district to establish Nong Son district, Quang Nam province as follows:
DECREE:
Article 1. 1. Adjustment of administrative boundaries of communes to establish communes under Que Son district, Phuoc Son district.
a) Establishment of Huong An commune under Que Son district based on the adjustment of 855 hectares of natural area and 5,491 population from Que Phu commune; 180 hectares of natural area and 959 population from Que Cuong commune.
Huong An commune has 1,035 hectares of natural area and 6,450 population.
Administrative boundary of Huong An commune: East borders with Binh Giang commune, Thang Binh district; West borders with Que Cuong commune, Que Son district; South borders with Binh Nguyen commune, Thang Binh district; North borders with Que Phu commune, Que Son district and Duy Thanh commune, Duy Xuyen district.
b) Establishment of Son Vien commune under Que Son district based on the adjustment of 2,517 hectares of natural area and 3,215 population from Que Loc commune.
Son Vien commune has 2,517 hectares of natural area and 3,215 population.
Administrative boundary of Son Vien commune: East borders with Que Long and Que Hiep communes, Que Son district; West borders with Que Trung commune, Que Son district; South borders with Que Loc commune, Que Son district; North borders with Duy Phu and Duy Son communes, Duy Xuyen district.
c) Establishment of Phuoc Ninh commune under Que Son district based on the adjustment of 8,298 hectares of natural area and 2,130 population from Que Phuoc commune; 3,930 hectares of natural area and 1,456 population from Que Ninh commune.
Phuoc Ninh commune has 12,228 hectares of natural area and 3,586 population.
Administrative boundary of Phuoc Ninh commune: East borders with Que Trung commune, Que Son district; West borders with Que Lam commune, Que Son district; South borders with Que Ninh and Que Phuoc communes, Que Son district; North borders with Thanh My town, Nam Giang district.
d) Establishment of Phuoc Hoa commune under Phuoc Son district based on the adjustment of 18,815.4 hectares of natural area and 2,076 population from Phuoc Hiep commune.
Phuoc Hoa commune has 18,815.4 hectares of natural area and 2,076 population.
Administrative boundary of Phuoc Hoa commune: East borders with Phuoc Hiep commune, Phuoc Son district; West borders with Phuoc Xuan commune and Kham Duc town, Phuoc Son district; South borders with Phuoc Kim commune, Phuoc Son district; North borders with Ca Dy commune, Nam Giang district and Que Lam commune, Que Son district, Quang Nam province.

Que Son district has 70,667 hectares of natural area and 132,061 population, with 21 direct administrative units including communes: Que Xuan 1, Que Xuan 2, Que Phu, Que Cuong, Phu Tho, Que Thuan, Que Hiep, Que Chau, Que Minh, Que An, Que Phong, Que Long, Huong An, Que Loc, Que Trung, Que Ninh, Que Phuoc, Que Lam, Son Vien, Phuoc Ninh and Dong Phu town.
- Phuoc Hiep commune remains with 14,534.85 hectares of natural area and 2,279 population.
Phuoc Son district has 114,127.12 hectares of natural area and 20,887 population, with 12 direct administrative units including communes: Phuoc Loc, Phuoc Thanh, Phuoc Kim, Phuoc Cong, Phuoc Chanh, Phuoc My, Phuoc Nang, Phuoc Duc, Phuoc Xuan, Phuoc Hiep, Phuoc Hoa and Kham Duc town.
2. Adjustment of administrative boundaries of Que Son district to establish Nong Son district under Quang Nam province.
Establishment of Nong Son district under Quang Nam province based on the adjustment of 45,592 hectares of natural area and 34,524 population from Que Son district (including the entire natural area and population of communes: Que Loc, Que Trung, Que Ninh, Que Phuoc, Que Lam, Son Vien, Phuoc Ninh).
Nong Son district has 45,592 hectares of natural area and 34,524 population, with 7 direct administrative units including communes: Que Loc, Que Trung, Que Ninh, Que Phuoc, Que Lam, Son Vien and Phuoc Ninh.
Administrative boundary of Nong Son district: East borders with Que Son district; West borders with Nam Giang district; South borders with Hiep Duc and Phuoc Son districts; North borders with Duy Xuyen and Dai Loc districts, Quang Nam province.
After adjusting the administrative boundaries of Que Son district to establish Nong Son district:
Que Son district remains with 25,075 hectares of natural area and 97,537 population, with 14 direct administrative units including communes: Que Xuan 1, Que Xuan 2, Que Phu, Que Cuong, Phu Tho, Que Thuan, Que Hiep, Que Chau, Que Minh, Que An, Que Phong, Que Long, Huong An and Dong Phu town.
Administrative boundary of Que Son district: East borders with Thang Binh district; West borders with Nong Son district; South borders with Hiep Duc district; North borders with Duy Xuyen district, Quang Nam province.
Quang Nam province has 1,040,634 hectares of natural area and 1,492,710 population, with 18 direct administrative units including districts: Dai Loc, Dien Ban, Duy Xuyen, Thang Binh, Nui Thanh, Phu Ninh, Tien Phuoc, Hiep Duc, Nam Tra My, Bac Tra My, Phuoc Son, Dong Giang, Tay Giang, Nam Giang, Que Son, Nong Son, Da Nang city and Tam Ky city.
This Decree shall take effect 15 days after its publication in the Official Gazette. All previous regulations that conflict with this Decree are hereby abolished.
Article 2. The Minister of Interior, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Nam province and the Heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree./.
